Ah is that the same agent who he left ages ago

Not like there is a grudge or anything 🙄

The fact he brought his marriage into it shows how bitter he is
Someone can be bitter but still be correct in their opinion.

I haven’t read the article as I can’t be bothered but McIlroy should learn sometimes saying less is more. Something we can all learn from.

Its a nothing statement that brought his personal life into it and pure clickbait for some to react to and it’s not surprising @Mel Smooth

Maybe Chandler should take a bit of his own advice

I'd give that advice to his former agent :)
Same is true for both , if McIlroy can be defended for being outspoken or just responding to comments the same should stand for Chubby to.

I refer to my above comment 👍

My comment was in jest. People are free to give their opinions if they wish. It is just somewhat ironic the point being made.

I didnt think McIlroy went out of his way to get heard. I thought he just answered questions during standard golf interviews, and was happy to be open and honest, without trying to be Switzerland?

It's no surprise who the people are that are obsessed with spreading such negative stories. Usually the people that don't agree with him. If he avoids an interview after a terrible round, they slate him for that. Otherwise, he talks too much.

I think sport would be much more interesting if more sports people were willing to speak their mind on controversial topics (at least those relevant to their profession) Sure, their opinions may be the opposite of mine at times, maybe even irritate me (a little). But that's ok.

My issue with McIlroy is how people blindly defend him and criticise anyone that speaks against his opinions. It’s frankly quite sad how biased people can be toward him.

I’m a fan of his but I’m also balanced and will call out against him when he’s chatting to much which tbh honest is often. I will equally defend him or others if he’s right.

If he wants to be open with his comments fair play but that should also make him fair game for any responses.

To be honest everyone irritates me so I’m equal opportunities offensive and miserable 😘🤣

My issue is with those that initiate the conversation at times. What is their motivation?

I have no desire to come on here after reading a positive article on McIlroy, paste it for everyone else to see, and then remind everyone that I'm a McIlroy fan. I'm sure I'd be politely, or not so politely, asked to shut up.

I don't see the point in spreading such random stories, although I guess his profile is so big in golf, it is inevitable. Many seem.obsessed about getting their daily dose of McIlroy clickbait. It seems it is usually the people (person) who dislikes McIlroy is the one obsessed with getting us talking about him.
