Professional Golf

My issue is with those that initiate the conversation at times. What is their motivation?

I have no desire to come on here after reading a positive article on McIlroy, paste it for everyone else to see, and then remind everyone that I'm a McIlroy fan. I'm sure I'd be politely, or not so politely, asked to shut up.

I don't see the point in spreading such random stories, although I guess his profile is so big in golf, it is inevitable. Many seem.obsessed about getting their daily dose of McIlroy clickbait. It seems it is usually the people (person) who dislikes McIlroy is the one obsessed with getting us talking about him.
Amen brother 🙏

It’s always the same few posters in here, LIV, Football threads etc posting the click bait articles against the same usual suspects. Whether it’s to create derision, shout hallelujah I’m so so’s biggest fan etc.

Let’s be honest people are weird!!! Hell we’re all in assuming grown ups hiding behind a keyboard talking about golf, we’re probably weird to 🤣

Guys, are we not mature enough to have a sensible and balanced conversation on the subject of Rory Mcilroy and whether he does himself, his peers, and the game of golf justice by constantly making contentious points - for the record he was trying to tell the world that Jon Rahm didn’t want to be in Hong Kong last week…

If he’s going to come out with statements like that, he’s going to invite scrutiny on himself.

Perhaps if the post is started in the manner you’ve done this one stating what the issue is and not with a click bait tweet and relatively immature comment then sensible debate would ensue.

People respond to what they see and if the initial comment is in a vein that isn’t opening sensible debate then what ensues is the tripe we’ve had.

Just my thoughts though 🤷🏼

Come on Mel you know the rules,no negativity towards Rory 😉
Or is it just a good debate? 🤔

Are you on about this from a week ago ?

And I’m not sure you’re capable of a balanced conversation when it comes to Rory McIlory

"Gotta say, I do wish Rory would be more of a diplomat at times."

That's what I said, with a link to the article.

What's the issue?

If you can’t see what then maybe you should reconsider your posts before you hit the save button. You post a tweet or a link with a single one line clickbait comment and can’t see why you get certain responses! You do the same with your Liv posts, it’s click bait trying to get a rise as you know it will from some corners.

I’ve nothing else to add as it’s quite boring going over the same ground with the same few.

Fair enough, I'll carry on being me though thanks.

Maybe it's time some posters got some thicker skin. (y)

Never said you shouldn’t be yourself but maybe be aware 👍

Who says people haven’t got a thick skin and it’s not you who doesn’t like the response you get. Like McIlroy being open to fair comment so are your posts 👍

On that note I need to go wash my hair ☺️

Don’t worry another month and we can “debate” if Rory is a bottler 🤣

My money is on
Mel says Yes
Phil says No
