I start every year with a little bit of fear that this will be the year that age catches up with Rose (although if it ever does he can spend a minimum of 2 years being the Ryder Cup captain).
Glad to see it's not this year, so far!
In other news, I posted somewhere else about active make-the-cut streaks and that Schauffele rather than Scheffler held the current active record. Obviously that jinxed him as that's over now
. Do hope he has a better season actually - he's in danger of being yet another who has 18 months of brilliance then recedes back into the pool of middle-rank pro's, and he seems a modest and likeable guy.

I really enjoyed watching his round last night.
He’s really looking after his body, must spend a lot of time working out. Still getting it out there with 178mph ball speed with the driver yesterday.
He’ll stop being competitive when his speed drops off.

I don’t care what anyone says about the guy but I really enjoy watching Patrick Reed as well. He’s put himself into contention again and that’s a big name to be chasing down the other guys.

Great news. The DPWT has some terrific venues and the production knocks the PGAT’s cheese fest into a cocked hat.
If we’re going to see a lot of LIV players adding to the DPWT fields, then it’s gonna be a really strong year for the(as was) European Tour.

Will be interesting to see what events they dictate players must play
also wonder if some others will take up ET membership

It’s a smart move from ET , makes them the first choice if any player is looking to leave

Well it’s essentially a ET event that’s co sanctioned so they should be able to play but think there has been a Liv event at the same time previously

Yes you are correct.
Restrictions in 2022 & 2023.
Clashing events in 2024 & 2025.
No clash in 2026, probably a coincidence!

The PIF and LIV are quite clear they want to develop golf globally. The DPWT have some of the core of that structure with the events/courses they already play.
I've probably said this before but the DPWT has got a great opportunity here as long as they are able to stand firm against the PGAT and see the possibilities that are opening up.
