If playing with my son, its arriving an hour before tee time, 30 mins on range 10 mins putting and then off we go. If its just me I just rock up and play and are always frustrated that it takes 3-4 holes to get into my stride!

I try to copy Rory from Ryder Cup in Medinah. Rock up with a police escort just in time to tee off, couple of practise swings and play like an absolute demon!

Although reality is more like turn up, play medicore, go to the bar.

I would love to get to the course an hour before my tee time and warm up and stretch and hit the putting green, but I just don't have the time, with a beautiful 6 month old baby girl, Its all I can do to just make my tee time, few practice swings on the tee and off we go.

When I was at Spakding on a Saturday morning it would normally be get up and put the coffee pot on. Go get a shower and get changed. Pour a cup of coffee to drink whilst making 4 scrambled eggs on 2 rounds of toast. Make a coffee in my travel mug and set off.

Get to the course and hit a 50 ball bucket up the range. Go in the clubhouse for another coffee and meet my mates. Go take the piss out of the Pro for 10 minutes and go to the 1st tee. 10 minutes of stretching then stand up to the ball and yank it left out of bounds into the canal

30/40 minutes before tee time. Get loosened up in the net, few chips, few putts, and then go. It doesn't change no matter what competition (unless it's a pro-am..in which case, I'll settle down for a bacon roll and a coffee!). I know a few people, who, at some serious board comps, will get up there a couple of hours before and go to the range and the short game area and hit a hundred balls to warm up. I don't see the point!

Night before I always clean my clubs and organise my bag.

On the day, always have some sort of sausage related breakfast (pnah pnah). Couple of practice swings in the net and maybe a couple of putts - I try not to dwell too much on over thinking my swing. If I have a couple of bad hits on the range I always go onto the 1st tee more nervous than usual.

Nothing worse than being on the first tee with about 8-9 people around you and you shank it!

I tend to get there early, and start with a few stretches and then hit 30-40 balls to warm up. Few bunker shots, chips and putts and in to meet up with the boys and a coffee. Back out after the roll up draw, few shots in the net and a few putts. In a comp, I'll hit a few more balls and work more on the short game and give myself about an hour before my tee time (unless it's hammering down and then I'll take my chances)

Ideally will be half a dozen swings with a 6 iron in the nets, 10 minutes putting and half a dozen chip shots.

The putting in particular I notice a big difference if I don't practice a few - my long putts on the course are way off if I don't usually.

Early morning tee times usually consist of oversleeping, rushing to get there on time, arrive a couple of minutes before I'm teeing off and then a quick dash to the pro shop for whatever I've forgotten to bring this time. I always seem to start a round slowly, can't think why

Generally arrive 40 mins before tee off, book time for following week, get changed, have a coffee and a stretch, then 10 mins putting before we start. Never go anywhere near the practice ground, I prefer to just practice swinging without hitting balls.
