One wish

As a golfing "nomad" it would be nice to be made welcome at
some of the golf courses that Ive visited over the past 4-5
months, they do need wakening up to the real world..

All holes to dog leg right so that my natural slice would be an advantage!

:D
With the clubhouse in the middle :D

I know just the club ;) ;)

Can't think of anything on the course, but would good to be able to buy balls for the practice ground, and not have to collect your own. Understand the centenary fund for 2013 might include this.

A little bit more land. The three holes at the bottom of our course are very close together, meaning you have to wait for people on other holes to get out of the way before you can hit you drive.
The clubhouse to open in the morning during the week so you can buy a bacon butty.

The club to open early even if thats just at weekends to get a breakfast first.

The money to finally put the top tier of the clubhouse on and to change the patio and windows so more the clubhouse looks over the course

The trees being grown to provide definition between holes and challenges off the tee to be bigger and already mature and that those that have been damaged or died are replaced

We had fairway watering put in a few years back, and think it has only been used a handful of times. A lot of the members prefer the course to be hard and fast, and it certainly plays a lot harder.

Easy one for me this.... No societies at weekends.

They are working on the practice ground and paths so thats all good.

A spike bar would be nice, but I can live without it.

Apparently our greens have had disease this year (because of trying to make them faster at the request of some members) so I'll give them the benefit of the doubt on that one.

They've started work on evening out one of the fairways (undulations so close together that the mowers can't cut the bottom and rip the top off) and if it goes well will work on others that need attention, so I don't need to wish for that.

So I'll take tee boxes that you can get a level lie on please :)

Wouldn't have joined if we didn't have roll ups at the weekend. Best way to get to know the most people in the shortest time.

I would love a course ranger at our course....Preferably someone with the same temperment as Victor Meldrew.....There som right Muppets out at times the need cattle prod up the ass......That should sort the slow play and the ladies not calling groups through.... :D

Also if the sand in the bunkers were of better quality...I know itsa longshot in this country with the weather.....

And thirdly get them to stick in some fairway bunkers on the longer holes within driving distance so people would have to manage there way around better.

As a member of a proprietorship club where the owner is in it for profit I wish he would turn the course over to members one day a year to make our Club Championship a good day. We even get societies booked in between divisions on that day!

Easy! - Sort the bunkers, wouldn't take a great deal of sorting, they are mostly placed in sensible positions, the fairway bunkers are pretty much on a decent driver length off the whites (doesnt trouble me at the moment, unless I get really hacked off and blast the 3 wood off the tee :( )

The greenside bunkers however are an absolute lottery! You can be stood on nice deep sand only to find the ball is sat on a layer 1 grain deep and the bounce of the club promptly sends the ball into wedge distance on the other side of the green  or you stand on the mud and end up glaring as your chip shot duffs a yard or two within the bunker

Failing that, some decent practice facilities please Uncle Bob :D
