One thing that really annoys me big time is there is a public footpath running throw the middle of the golf course not in the way of any of the 18 holes ,

but the bloody dog workers walk OFF the path to look for golf balls in the hedges & there dogs are of there leads running all over,,if they see a golfer they get control of the dog but they shouldn't be of the path in 4 months Ive only seen two lots of onthe fairway

if it wasn't for the great club house ,,greens,,& value for money i would go else were

whats the one thing that annoys you about your local club ?

mine would have to be our temp greens that aint even temps just massive bucket holes on the fairway or semi ruff

Our place refuses to enhance the course with open drains/features citing various reasons which I myself don't accept.
Don't get me wrong, we have bought all the trenching/drainage equipment we will ever need rather than hiring it so are proactive in trying to help the course drain (clay based soil which holds enormous amounts of water during the winter rather than let it disperse faster like sandy soil etc) a few burns/shallow ditches would make the course better looking in my unprofessional opinion.

Some of the members who act like football hooligans........the PRO......the food....I don't think I got enough time to carry on!!!!!! The course is the best you will play for ALL YEAR ROUND golf. So far no temps in the winter.

Only pulling your leg mate. I have 5 dogs, and must admit owners that don't keep them under control. Plus leaving their muck everywhere. Really gets up my nose. Only last week on the field where I practice. Went to pick up the balls, one, was sat on top of a pile of it! It's still sat on it as far as I'm aware.

I play rugby and one of the teams we play agianst sometimes doesn't allow dogs on their grounds as some poor kid was playing rugby, fell in some dog and lost his sight, anyone who doesn't clean up their dogs mess should be thrown as seriously hefty fine in my opinion

If only one thing then my biggest gripe is the recent increase in slow play, especially on comp weekends, if we're talking about the course then Id like more definition around the greens

my only gripe at my "old club" was the distance to travel and the amount of non members on the course at weekends using Groupon vouchers etc. Absolutely no chance of just rocking up in the afternoon for a quick knock.

Somehow don't think that will be a problem at the new place...

Leaving my course in two days but the things that annoyed me is the lack of drainage (soggy/wet course since August) & the group of crows that have developed a habbit of nicking the ball off the fairway between the 3rd & 8th holes (lost at least 6 to this)

some of the older members really don't like it when your ball is 50 yards further down the fairway.
played in a competition the other week and the guy marking my card put down an extra shot on 2 different holes, when i querried him he said " i didn't think you got on in 2 its a long way" was a bit funny about it untill the other guy agreed with me

there is alot of elitist old guys where i play

I don't hate anything and probably the only minor niggles are the winter mats which are terrible. The normal tees are excellent though and this year they have cut a strip of semi-decent grass next to the mats to play off on the worst holes. It is also a popular course for societies and hackers so can be slow and frustrating during the summer months.
