New Ping S55 irons

They look nice, very similar to the 56's though. I was delighted to see there was a custom tuner port made from thermoplastic elastomer ;)

Still £115 per iron is pretty lumpy.

Saw these in the flesh today at the Ping Pro-Am. Played with Andy Sullivan (hero) and he had them in the bag, as did the other pros too I think. They look awesome, like knives. I will be staying well clear, good old shovels for me.

most of the Png pro's had hem in their bags today. They look luuuuuuvvvvveeeerrrrrllllly. I can see them being very popular.

Also saw the prototype driving iron. I'm not good enough to use it I'm sure but it looks a great addition if it is released to the general golfing world.

So I'm guessing not for me then. I think the I20 is as good as I'll get. I think the I20 v the new Cally Apex irons on a Trackman should give some interesting numbers

Those custom fit g25s not working out for you homer??

I like the look of the s55s, however this may seem hypocritical, as I play cast irons but for £115 a club I'd go for a mizuno forged offering as first choice. Still give these a look though if I was in the market.

Saw them being used by the PING tour pros today - they were lovely. Am massive Mizuno fan but would definitely give them a try. In fact might have to seriously consider it when they are launched!!

S56 were the only decent looking irons in the [reasonably priced] Ping range, Anser's excluded.
These crank that up a notch as they take the best looks or the 56 and make them better.

I would definitely be interested in these if I wasn't already getting new irons.
