Nope.
But I could do you this 06 plate BMW for £9995.00. Local BMW dealer has more or less the same car up for £11495.00 and we were going to price it up at £10,495.00 but as you are a very special forum member I'd knock another £500.00 off
;) ;) ;)

Cheers Smiffy, car it is replacing is an 06 plate, wife wants newer than that.

Lump, cheers for the Leon advise, i'm only a short arse so perhaps wouldn't be an issue - decent boot is important so that's probably out now.

Why don't you like Hondas / Mazdas etc?
I like the Civic, but last time I looked they weren't as economical as others, never considered Mazda, couldn't tell you why!

£180.00 for a personalised number plate from DVLA.
Who's to know?
Wallop
;)

For reasons I never figured out my Dad bought me a personalised number plate a few years ago!

I have a Leon. I can't say I've noticed a problem with leg room, but then I'm only 5'8" and rarely sit in the back

I regularly have a 6' passenger with a big lad sitting behind him and they both seem to be comfortable.

Without folding the rear seats down I can get my clubs and trolley in the boot, although the woods have to be taken out and put in after everything else.

That used to annoy me when I had a 147 Alfa and the reason I've never got a smallish hatchback again.

Packing all the bags in with the woods on top, closed the boot and heard a bit of a strange noise. Nice big dink and face crack right across my new (at the time) Titleist 980 3wood. :(

Went into a BMW garage last night, really to rule it out. Deal they came back with was doable on monthly payments, but was a high APR and the wife vetoed. To be fair it was too OTT for me.

Got a call today, knocked off some fees, reduced monthly payments by £15 a month and taken 4% off the APR.

Either they were screwing me before or are desperate for a sale!!!

Shall approach the Mrs again tonight!

Morning all, I'm in the market for a new car (or one up to about six months old)

Not physically looked at any yet, just on the net.

List includes Vauxhall Astra, Renault Megane, Seat Leon, BMW 1 Series, VW Golf, Citroen C4.

Key requirements are an engine that will do in the region of 60mpg (Leon claims to do over 70mpg), a boot big enough for a set of clubs and a trolly and low road tax.

I have a child so want a five door car.

Anyone care to comment on cars in the list, pros/cons any I've missed off that I should consider and the like.

Quite a few places have no VAT or 0% finance at the minute and keen to change before the VAT hike in Jan.

how about vw jetta  get it with DSG for the missus big boot 5 door not as big as a passat lovely jubbly. im sure there is a VW garage VERY close to WAKEFIELD. :D

It was 10.7% now 6.8% (over £4K over four years, now under £3K)

they claim to be doing the deal on the petrol version on the Diesel one. They also claim they have never done this deal for a customer before...

I only mention it because the peace of mind factor with my mrs has made a huge difference.

She had a Nissan - nothing went wrong for four years, then she got bored and wanted to change it because it was a 3 door, and the doors were too big ( When parking in supermarkets it was a problem to get out the car ). Went to Peugeot. Changed it within a year becauseof all the little niggly problems.

Now with a Jazz, boring but safe, and on to our third year with it.

For me, relablility gives her peace of mind which makes my life happier.

If those are APR's (and not flat rates) they are stonking offers. The 10.7% was good, the 6.8% is better than my finance company give me as a base rate.
It certainly doesn't look like they were tucking you up, I doubt if they were getting much commission (if any) on the first rate, they certainly won't be earning anything on the 2nd.
Basically, I couldn't get anywhere near it

The boot on my Alfa 156 is just wide enough to take the full bag. I was told this when i bought it, but it was 12 years ago and golf drivers were much shorter in them days. ;)

They were APRs, they made that clear a number of times, it's an amazing deal, I can see it, friends can see it but the wife can't.

She keeps focussing on the final figure rather than the monthly figure. She's ignoring the money we'll save on fuel, road tax and servicing.

Current car needs £400-£500 work on it that wouldn't be done if I px'ed it.

Have told the garage no can do, feel worse then when I broke up with previous girlfriends!!!
