New cats

Good News Murph - any names yet?

Sadly our Big Tig is on the slide.
Along with her blindness, deafness, high blood pressure, thyroid and arthritis she now only has one kidney as the other one's been squashed by a cyst and the "good" one is showing signs of packing in.....
Currently residing in a Cattery as we're off Oop North tomorrow - if she makes it through Xmas she probably won't make February..

Murph,

It's amazing how quickly kittens acclimatise when a ping-pong or similar (golf air-ball) is introduced to their world!

Haven't had cats for a few years, but great memories of those we did have. Busy road used to assist with evolution. Only one we had to have euthanased was our 17 year old first one, also from Battersea (Windsor) who bossed us all about - and seemed to suggest that all other cats go an play on the road! The one that adopted me used to recognise my car quarter of a mile away and be waiting in the drive screaming 'walk!', escorting me around her territory in the fields at the end of the garden. Had to be some Siamese in there somewhere.

Enjoy your new friends!

He will now sit on me, on his terms, but she is still very shy, but likes a stroke on occasion.

I have just rescued him from the chimney in the lounge. I caught him just as he shot up there, and at full stretch just grabbed a back paw. The chimney is now stuffed with chicken wire.

Happy days.

She is now crying, there must be some Siamese in there some where. Very high pitched. Not annoying at all at half three in the morning.

Got our Frankie 9 years ago from RSPCA hospital, was only 6 months old and got him out of the cage and he bit me!
A very cheeky chappie now who is a huge fluffy dude, completely boss of the household now.

Was bizarre though as my missus was pregnant and 3 months in he just stopped coming in every day, would be lucky to see him once a week for food and disappear again, soon as my daughter was born 10 weeks ago he is back in every day and lounging around everywhere warm again. Even when our baby decides to test her lungs he just looks up and then goes back to sleep!

Ours is still young and frequently has "mad half hour's".

He was just chasing a bauble around while I was reading this so video'd a bit of it...

Took our kitten to the vets for the dreaded removal of man parts a couple of weeks ago. I'm sure that when I fetched him he knew exactly what had happened judging by the look on his face and the shake of the head I got. Little bugger.

We have two cats, a ginger tom and a big fat white female. Once they are gone, that's it. Won't have any more.
The Ginger one is OK, he is a right character, more like a dog in fact. The white thing is a pain in the butt.
She has scratched most of the wallpaper off the wall by the dining room door, and has now started by the front door.
She has also reduced the carpet on the bottom stair to a tangled mess. We've bought her a scratching post in the past, and she completely ignored it. Leave anything black lying around the house and within 5 minutes it is completely covered in white cat hairs. Happen to leave the airing cupboard door open, even by the slightest amount, and she is up in there in a flash and you have to re-wash all the bloody towels etc. because they too are covered in white hair.
We've just bought some new dining room furniture and if she has a go at the new leather chairs I am going to kill her. I mean it.
The Ginger one never scratches. We'll be sad when he has gone. But "Mighty Whitey?" Good riddance.

Our two new arrivals. They had been dumped close to our house so we took them in. Must be young enough we are guessing three months or so both have a bad case of cat flu but will be ok.

cat thread yay

one of mine just cost £ 629 at the vets , dreadlock removal and an ingrowing claw

shes nearly twenty though and is looking quite unsightly after being nearly shaved completely

No choice at the minute, we weren't prepared to have two cats dumped on us!!! We think they are brother and sister as they arrived at the same time.

yeah , its generally how they come isnt it , had 4 over the last 15 years and they were all foundlings , still got two

they look sweet , Gingers are tough generally , my mum had one with no eyes or tail , didnt stop it going out and fighting everything in sight so they should deal with their cat flu easily

I wonder why it is that Ginger Toms are as tough as old boots???? Ours is. Indoors, he's as soft as *****. If another cat comes in the garden you wanna see him go!!!
