I need to come clean as i am really struggling at the moment.

Ever since buying some nice sexy Cobra Amp Pros and (miraculously) being able to hit them fairly well. I have developed a rather disturbing habit.

Ebay

I am constantly drawn to logging on, searching for "golf Irons" and sorting by "ending soonest" and watching, with drool coming from my mouth.

Being able to hit the Cobras has made me lust after new players irons more than ever. Now the Amps are (IMO) a very handsome set, but yet the shiny looks of other makes keep turning my head.

Countless times i have had the resist the urge to bid on some serious bargain clubs.

MP54's
Nike pro Combo
Ping i25's
Orka Ps9 (you would not believe the price these things went for and they were mint)
TM TP forged combo set

And the final ones about an hour ago

Ping S55's 3-PW CF Stiff shafts and absolutely immaculate.

I was so, so close to pulling the trigger.

But then what?

Where will it end before my head is turned once again????????

The cobras are stunning, in superb condition, feel amazing and are quite easily a club longer than my old bats.

Why do i feel the need to be unfaithful????

WHY??????????

I do the same. Regularly look at eBay and see what's finishing soonest with no intention of buying. Then, the other day ended up buying a new driver. Ooops.

My name is David. I am not an addict.

I am an evolved golfer who knows through bitter, expensive experience that the kit does not maketh the golfer. I am sure after you have played as long as me (33 ish years) that you will be the same and be using the same driver for eleven years until you bust it in your wife's car.

Liar! :blah:

You aren't alone in your ebay addiction on here

Ive been playing best part of 10 years, but only been a "club" golfer for the last 2-3.

Ive generally been a bit of an eBay enthusiast, but its got worse recently.

The price that some £700 plus forged irons go for second hand, is frankly ridiculous.

GI irons really keep there value i can see but if you want a 2nd hand set of 712 mb's? Yours for 200 nicker!

Smaller buyer pool for the blade type clubs = bargain alert

I generally have had little turnaround of clubs over the last few years.

Just of late that has changed

Your are correct of course, but at the minute, im listening

but i ain't hearing you

Its hard!

:D

Just get yourself a set of Bridgestone j40 irons and then that's the end of searching!
ive been through the same but once you find Bridgestone its hard to better them.

A Set of Brand spanking new MP-59 Mizzies 4-pw S300's

less than 300

PLEASE HELP!!!

Some one please tell me they are rubbish bats

I am about to pull the trigger....

Why do you need them ?

I hit my Cobras nicely

Struggle with the 4 and 5 irons though.

Mission aim this year was to learn to hit bladed type clubs in order to improve my striking.

The AMPS were on my Bucket lists, so were they 59's when they came out.

The 59's should offer more forgiveness but not detract from my my aim of learning how to hit proper clubs. They have the same s300 shafts that i really like also.

And they are new.

Thats about it really

THe AMP's are more like blades ?

What's the difference in forgiveness between the two ? They look very similar in terms of muscle back and blade ?

The amps are progressive so the 7,8,9 and PW are truer blades. The 4, 5, 6 are muscle backed but only just.

The Mizuno "should" be more forgiving, but TBH i am more than happy to have a play. I will still get the great feedback that

I have never owned a Mizuno club and want to see what all the fuss is about

And for the price compared to what i can probably get for mine, my outlay will be very small.

Anyway

I have just bought them

Nothing easier to part than a fool and his cash...

Ha

They should arrive tomorrow

Good,luck with them

Certainly look very nice

Think it was only a matter of when you were buying them

But aren't you worried they won't be fitted to you ?
