Played 7 I think this year, nothing really special ones for me I think.

Hopefully nest year will be more.

Amazing figures that some lucky people play, jealous.

Best course this year was Dunstanbrough Castle in Embleton. Beautiful place to play, great greens and fairways plus a castle. What more could you ask for.

Was actually walking past that course the other day on a coastal walk up to said castle, played it a few years ago and it was good. Was listening to some golfers talking and they said that Dunstanburgh have made a sustained effort to attract the walkers into the club house which has meant a big increase in revenue, which they have been able to plough back into the course. So fair play to them for that, great to see courses thinking outside the box a bit and succeeding.

Next time you re in the area try Bamburgh, a bit further up the coast. I'd argue the views are slightly better (although I agree the views of Embleton bay are lovely), the holes are slightly more interesting/quirky and you also get a castle.

I've played loads this year. Quite a few in top 100 of England. Around about 30 I would think.

Notts, Ganton, Alwoodley, Moortown, Sherwood Forest, Saunton and St Mellion were the best.

20 plus for me.

New ones in rough order of preference

Royal County Down
Royal St George's
Royal Portrush
Royal Liverpool
Blairgowrie
Ardglass
Sundridge Park
Kirkistown Castle
Royal Lee Park
Bramley
Puttenham

RCD was immaculate, stunning views, and easily the best course I have played. I will definitely return, as the last four holes owe me. 28 points after 14, and finished with 31.:(

Blairgowrie Rosemount is a lovely course, and would love to return there. Surprised it is not in the GM top 100 UK courses.

Sundridge one of the nicest parkland courses I have played. if you get a chance play there.

24 for me so far - expect to add at least another couple before the end of the year.

12 I hadn't played before:

Peebles
Lanark
Niddry Castle
Monifeith
Scotscraig
Dalmahoy West
Harburn
Machrihanish Pans
Stranraer
Luffness
Blackmoor
West Hill

very few this year compared to previous .
a quick count is a very poor number of 5,best being the west course at East Sussex National,
also like Sweetwoods and Lewes.
would have been more but injury has curtailed my golf till next year at the earliest.

i am lucky for new courses as i travel around europe with my job

been a lean year this year with only 18 new courses

I've played 15 new courses and around 30 courses in total this year.

Best - Royal Birkdale, despite us playing in a constant drizzle

Worst - Crowwood in Glasgow, parkland course not in the best of condition.

I played some really nice courses this year, some others worth mentioning would be Nairn, North Berwick, Formby, Alwoodley, Ladybank, Dunbar, The Castle Course and one I played again this year Royal Aberdeen.

Slow year for me this year due to playing like a dog for most of it and losing interest.

Only played 28 courses this year, got around 6 more to play before the end of the year tho.

Best so far, Alwoodley , Silloth, Notts Sherwood and Blackmoor.

15 courses this year.

Enjoyed the Addington
Enjoyed East Sussex National - both courses
Not very impressed with the Shire - a bit over-rated
Not very impressed with Goodwood - bit of a dull course, overpriced and difficult to get to
