I was using a Yes Madison, and was going well with it. But the greens got quick and my feel was off for pace. So I dug the SC del mar out that I had put aside for a rainy day ( was going to sell it, as I had been disappointed with it) gave it a retrial, it was sublime, my distance control and feel were great. I have been practicing with it to get comfortable on lining stuff up, I am in love with it. I am considering getting a second and having it customised up, you never know when the one you love will leave you so it's always good to have a back up or stand in

For what it's worth, my advice would be if you are going to get a new putter, make sure it is the right one for you then trade in or sell your old one. Otherwise there will always be the temptation to switch putters after a bad round with one of them, therefore not giving yourself a chance to get used to it. Trust me, I have 5 putters, and although I do not use 2 of them, I am regularly switching between the other 3.

I have never understood the obsession some have with changing their putter. I bought the best I could find 5 years ago and the only thing that would make me change it would be if it was damaged. It's a lovely piece of metal, and it's a pleasure to own it whether I'm putting well or otherwise.

I've changed mine 7 times this year and almost did again yesterday !!
I pulled my old ping piper H out the bag in garage 3 weeks ago to get it regripped so I could get rid but when I picked it up from shop at start of a round I ended up using it on back nine .
But yesterday while visiting Linlithgow with a mate I picked up a TM spider had a few hits on practice green and nearly bought it but decided to wait till after the round but Sod's law I only had 29 putts so stayed well clear of the shop and sticking with my old putter

ive had three since taking up golf two years ago , a fisher half mallet with a black insert I just couldn't get on with at all . Then Ive had an odyessy metal x 1 for over a year now and finally a few weeks ago I bought a versa no7 which im currently trialling and enjoying the results thus far. Being a lefty its difficult to go to an American Golf or similar and try out a good few putters as most stores have only a few in stock. In future I would like to be custom fitted at some point.

Moved from a mallet to an anser type putter towards the end of last season and now that I'm in love with the style I'm eyeing up a new one.
