Mince Pies

Oh its definitely the Morrisons Bakery mince pie for me.

Fantastic pastry to filling ratio.

Taste like home made.

I think £1.50 for 6?

Banging mince pie

Tesco Finest All Butter with port and cognac. Got a box of 12 to crack open with the pps on the 10th tee on Sunday with a flask of Laphroaig.

This post could be highly cynical and sarcastic or, because it is coming up to Christmas, full of warmth and cheer. I'm sure it is the latter , it must be, surely.
Given that this thread has been such wonderful relief from the bickering, I would say you should go with the latter.

And stop calling me Shirley.

On the forum's recommendation I bought some Tesco Finest Mince Pies with Spiced Rum. Very nice and went well with a glass of Red Leg Spiced Rum

Seriously.
If you want the very, very best mince pies, go on to the Donald Russell website.
I usually get my meat from there, but at Christmas they also have their Scottish shortbread mince pies.
They are absolutely gorgeous, and I do mean GORGEOUS.
I have never tasted anything else that even comes close.

They sound fabulous. We don't have a Tesco nearby but I will need to find one (y)

If you do find a Tesco.

Grab some Tesco finest gingerbread clotted cream to whack on top.

I just debuted this combo about 20 minutes ago and it was a match made in bloody heaven ??

a dark and stormy rum and sultana extravaganza

Greggs mince pies are as good as homemade.
Agreed. Bloody marvellous for a budget shop bought affair.

We had some from a local bakery on our Santa Express train trip at the weekend - really good pastry to filling ratio (flatter mince pie so that the filling isn't OTT).
