Huge announcement yesterday. Michael Bisping will defend his Middleweight belt at a yet to be decided PPV against the returning Georges St.Pierre. What a fight. Shame for Yoel Romero who has definitely earned his shot, but what a money fight this is. Can't wait to see GSP back but think Bisping will be too big, too strong and too technical for Georges. Not easy taking 3 years off and jumping in there with a savage like Bisping. He's incredibly hard to takedown, has a rock-solid chin, is developing his KO power and he's just so much bigger than Georges. Could be a tough night.

I would say GSP is too technically good for Bisping but with all that time out you never know. I see it simialr to the Silva fight but without Bisping getting the decision.

How do you get a title fight when you haven't been in the ring for 3 years though? What's the point in have contenders if an ex champ will just walk back and have a title fight? Bit of a joke that.

Money talks in this sport unfortunately.

So many more oppositions deserve this fight against Bisping.

That being said it'll be a good fight and Bisping should make light work of it...

Because he is arguably the best fighter that has been in the UFC ever. Then there is the element that because of this he will sell fights and is the only star of his calibre available with Ronda out of the picture and Conor having his child/faffing about with Mayweather.

As good as the likes of Khabib, Johnson, Woodley, Wonderboy, Joanna etc are they are nowhere near their level of promotability.

Romero will feel hard done by and definitely deserved the next title shot, but I'd still rather watch this fight. This fight will sell by the bucket-load. UFC have been desperate for another marketable fighter now Ronda's gone, and with GSP returning and Jones back in the summer it could be a strong year for the UFC if they can get McGregor fighting again.

Should set-up Romero vs Jacare on the same card, winner of that gets the next shot.

Yes I get all of that but like Dan2501 says Romero will feel hard done by but $$$ talks. Only Conor like you say is more marketable at the moment.
