I'm DJing at a masquerade ball on Saturday and they've asked for some 1920s style music, I've gone through a few playlists on spotify and such but just looking for some further inspiration.

Thinking that the swing/big band stuff would go down quite well, despite not being 20s music.

Any thoughts?

Ah yes. The 20's. ChrisD would say that I would remember it well

A fair proportion of the music was of the "Blues" artists and genre but for a fun evening I think that more upbeat music would go down better - Ragtime, Armstrong, Beiderbecke (love his stuff), Ellington, The Charleston, etc.

Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue is a must.

Thank you very much.

Agree with Leftie's choices. You could also try Count Basie, Benny Goodman and Tommy Dorsey. All from my dad's era I hasten to add.
