M4V file

I have just bought a video file that apparantly plays on M4V - the video lasts for nearly 70 minutes but the viewer dosen't appear to have the normal video controls so that I can start and stop when I want or to start anywhere other than the beginning each time

Any ideas please?

Try opening it in iTunes. M4V is an Apple format.

You will get Quicktime, which is a viewer for quicktime video format files, this is ok

You may also get asked if you want Safari which is apples version of Internet explorer, up to you, but I wouldnt bother.

apart from that, just download Itunes, its free http://www.apple.com/uk/itunes/download/

or use VLC player and avoid all of the suing Apple malware (unless it's an iTunes source of course).

iTunes is full of nasty little bugs and burrows into your system like a...well, like a virus really.

And it always breaks.
