Soulless, desolate, isolated and a boring layout are the only words I can use to describe it in a positive manner. I'd hate to play it in winter or the rain it would just be so boring and a brain wrecker. The clubhouse was basic especially the lcoker room, the range had cracked and broken balls and rubbish mats and not even the members were playing it on a Saturday morning

I was beginning to wonder whether I had overdone the critism of Lydd as I hadn't played there in a few years and turned down a game there about 3 weeks ago - wow, a lucky escape and confirmation that, even at my age, the memory isn't letting me down!

Lydd is cheap though. Very cheap.

I believe it's £20 for a round which includes a full English.

My course was shut in March for a week - our pros sorted out a deal at Lydd where we could play for £10.

You won't get Turnberry-esque courses for £10.

Go and play Lindfield GC in West Sussex on a Sunday afternoon. Pre-book online and you'll get on there for £10.00. Knocks Lydd into a cocked hat.
No full English, but a half decent golf course.
Bargain of the year.
