I'm just going to make a coffee and see what's on TV. Much better option....
Don’t do itJealous...I've not done mine yet, and the conditions are the same.
Did 7 miles in the wind and rain, up and down hills, in the face of adversity......which sounds exactly like the walk to school my dad bangs on about.Don’t do it![]()
It'll still be there next year mate, not worth it. Rest up and get it sorted.First physio session today, and no more running for me. At least not until I start a load of gym work to build up knee strength and support. Bloomin osteoarthritis diagnosis.
On a plus side, looks like I can get a cheap gym membership due to my diagnosis.
Although I can't to running training now, I've still sort of asked him if I can still do the Lincoln 10K if I promise to run really really slowly. He hasn't ruled it our completely, and we'll review it in a couple of weeks. But I could tell he really wanted to just say no.
Have fun mate and enjoy the run.Just arrived at my hotel in The Hague, Parkrun in the morning to get my Z.
Then half marathon on the Sunday.
Where do you get your "Y". Yarborough parkrun is about a mile from my house, I think that is a popular one for A-Z parkrunnersJust arrived at my hotel in The Hague, Parkrun in the morning to get my Z.

You should do an AMA on hereI’m very much plugged into the world of ultramarathons ‘enjoying’ races from 30 to 50 miles at a time, with a big goal race this year to run the 95 West Highland Way. This completely replaced my golf obsession.
You should do an AMA on here
My question would be how do you manage to stay injury free/work through injuries? From that perspective golf is a much kinder on your body hobby.
Also, in your view, what’s more difficult ultras or road marathons? As far as I understand the majority of ultra runners run to finish - not to win/make a specific time which is in theory more manageable than trying to run a PB in a marathon. Obvious there are exceptions like Barkley where finishing IS winning![]()
Good luck with the shoulder3x 35 minutes spin home sessions this week. Fitness has really gone but loving being back in the seat. Eating better and I've even got my wife into trying to do some home exercise sessions as we've just booked to go to the Maldives next year.
Still doing my physio on my shoulder which I think is gradually feeling a bit better but really want to start on some free weights but I think I'll have to wait. Going to try get out for 9 holes this week as I have a day off. Fingers crossed
