Losing weight/fitness thread

Well I decided to bring forward my first injection by 8 hours as I thought I'm going bed early anyways so better than faffing about at 5am trying to make sure I correctly follow the process for the first time

That was incredibly simple

Also very painless. I'm fine with needles tho so that prob helps (tiny needle anyways, safely put into the sharps bin they provided)

Already feeling very full (i did have dinner about 7 but it's like I've been topped up)

Could be placebo effect tho

Tomorrow is the real test. Only porridge and some left over turkey for my meals at work

Normally just porridge at 8 has me hungry again by 10

Good luck. Keep us updated as will be interesting to have some first hand experiences.

Driving to work at 6am I felt hungry and I was like what's this? I shouldn't be surely? But then I haven't eaten in 11 hours or so

I still haven't had breakfast, just had a tea

What I've done is set up alarms on my phone to schedule meals to remind me

09:00 breakfast today. Gonna put on some porridge

13:00 I've got left over turkey and beef

Then I'll just eat dinner as normal with the wife

My colleague is talking of coming off it as she isn't seeing the results she wanted "only" 1.5 stone in 7 weeks (she seen our other colleague lose 3 stone in 8 weeks) and she put on over Xmas she said but drank a lot so prob that

I'm so lucky I don't drink, otherwise I'd be buggered. It's the only thing I strongly believe keeps me from dying lol 🤣 (just to add not because it's bad, it's because my diet sucks and if I added drink on top I'd be screwed)

@PJ87
I just have a Huel meal replacement drink for lunch or whenever I fancy it, they are a little thicker than usual shakes so surprisingly filling 👍

If I wasn't on the jab that wouldn't even touch the side

Must be something I consider as part of the plan for a simple lunch

Had my porridge just now, don't feel stuffed but don't feel like I want to eat anything else

However massive pinch of salt this is all new , there is most likely a placebo effect going on ATM

Be interested to see what week 3 brings

Must restart my breakfast routine…Overnight cold soaked porridge oats (milk and Kefir) with chia seeds added. Might go back to adding some fruit in the morning as I got to squirting on loads of honey - and I’ll stop with that.

Very early days I'm sure to judge but even a placebo effect is a good start.

Been training but unfortunately not to my max due to my ongoing lower back and hip issue. Need to go see a chiropractor asap.

Been thinking about my training plan going forward in the new year. My main aim is to lose weight. I've been doing mainly weights and really enjoying it but wonder if I should go back to spinning and a weight session in order to lose weight. My body has changed but I haven't actually lost weight. I always thought burning more calories would help lose the weight whilst trying to be in a calorie deficit.

Tried smashed avocado on toast with poached eggs and chilli flakes for first time this morning . Lovely . Unfortunately combined with my netflix subscription the daily mail claims I'll never be able to afford a house so thats always a worry 😂

That was breakfast at 9ish

Just had a bowl of crunchy nut. Not out of hunger but we are off to a panto and girls are having McDonald's after so I don't want to feel hungry for that lol

You need to get out of the ‘just in case’ eating, won’t help with losing weight. Set meals, set times - get into a routine

Crunchy Nut Cornflakes is not food, just processed garbage.
Try and stick to whole foods as much as possible, pre make meals as well to stop you eating rubbish.

Losing weight is all about the Kitchen, have to do crazy amounts of weights / cardio to make a real dent in weight loss.

Think you missed the point. Yesterday I set alarms for food

0830 1300 then 1900

Today we are out , we had an early snack for the kids and their getting McDonald's at 5 for their tea

So I had that otherwise I wouldn't eat and I want to avoid not eating as that's how people get sick on the jab forgetting to eat because you don't feel the hunger as much

Our dinner is prepped and served at 1930 tonight

Waiting for the shopping to change over, using up what we have. I don't like wasting things

Yes, totally get that and I'm trying to stay in a deficit but surely burning approximately 500+ calories spinning is better than 200 on weights if weight loss is the objective?

At the beginning of December I found my old weights. I’ve enjoyed incorporating a bit of lifting (nothing silly) on top of the cross trainer and swimming sessions, in addition to my daily walking. Today I ordered a bench to allow a more rounded set.

I’m out all day tomorrow on a boys beano and then we’re having friends round on NYE. At an away match on 1st. Then planning to be back on point diet and exercise wise (written whilst eating cheese, crackers and chutney and sipping from a Belgian lager). Unsure if going back to OMAD but most likely will, with the usual allowances for watermelon and other fruits if mega hungry.
