Someone seems to be making quite a few excuses 😜

Who doesn't love a filofax of excuses?!

I am noticing serious changes tho. My sister gave me a lemon sherbet at the panto, for context growing up my favourite (used to eat my half the pack in 5 mins then hit her up for more) .. I had it. Lovely. However 30 mins later she offers me another I just politely refused as didn't fancy it. Now for me that's amazing because Ive had something I love and stopped at 1 not gone oh go on smash a handful back

I've done meal prep for next few days . Overnight oats for breakfast 3 out of 4 days and porridge the other. Lunch tomorrow is one of my home cooked curries from the freezer (so it's not a ready meal or a take away it's just home cooked) evening meal with the wife

My freezer is full of pre cooked spag bol , cottage pie and curries (the last two home made) but it's the lack of snacks between that's the real difference

I just have a Huel meal replacement drink for lunch or whenever I fancy it, they are a little thicker than usual shakes so surprisingly filling 👍

I've placed an order for huel black edition shake mix and also added Thai green chilli meal pouches as if I spent £50 I got free delivery. Gives me options

My colleague gave me a protein bar to try , surprisingly nice so ordered some protein flap jacks . On top of that got some hummus and carrot sticks for lunch during the week

Trying a mixture of things as to not get bored when I'm tight for time

Another 4 miles tonight, hammering down with rain and blowing a hoolie.
Tweaked my left calf early doors, first quarter of a mile and was just going to walk back home as it was really sore and I was running funny because of it.
Then I just had a change of mentality and just decided to get it done, managed to get 4 mins of my best time 😂😂
Goodness knows how that happened as every step was a struggle.
Next run will be Thursday for me if calf is ok.

Definitely rest up, but definitely also listen to your body. I’ve carried in in the past cost me 4 months training for the Great South

Take it easy mate, not worth risking making it worse, especially as you’ve got the 1/2 marathon on the agenda.😇

@AmandaJR there we go first sign of a real non placebo effect

Today I've eaten overnight oats. A home made curry. A protein bar . That was by 4pm

Just now I had my dinner at home. My wife did me a smaller portion than we normally have. I couldn't finish it

I did have a bad migraine yesterday however I don't think it was connected , eldest kept me up most of Friday night and then I overheated at the panto because I left my jumper on. When that happens I can get migraines. But got over it today and been fine

Keeping my eyes out for any but so far so good 👍

Happy birthday btw

My wife did say she's meant to drink 3 litres of water a day or something, with the injections, so maybe you didn't have enough water that day as well?

Just generally I find it impossible to drink anywhere near as much water as people say you should. I only remember to drink when I'm thirsty, and even then I'm more likely to get a drink that tastes nice rather than pure water. I probably only manage about one glass a day.

Try this.
Before you drink that tastier drink, force yourself to drink about half as much water as that drink. The tastier drink will be your reward.
If you can make this your habit, you might find yourself accepting the water only occasionally - its much cheaper as well.

Cheers. I don't have very many drinks in a day anyway - at least outside of summer when I'm not as thirsty. Typical day I'll have a Tenzing in the morning (plant-based energy drink), a Pepsi Max in the afternoon and a 7up in the evening.

Health is something you have to work on in modern life, sadly. The world is set up for convenience and that adds to our bellies.

I follow a healthy eating plan - easy to cut out bread, junk food etc. I used to attend Slimming World, which was a great baseline, so now just follow their plan, without the weighing.

Eat fruit instead of snacks and water - I drink galons of water - no it's not natural, you have to work on it.

I work hard (hours) and spending my free time at a gym has no appeal, so weight loss for me is all about diet and it is a plain fact you will lose weight and inches eating well.

Yes, some need a kickstart, or continued help in whatever format that is, but 90% of it really is a choice.
