Cheers. I don't have very many drinks in a day anyway - at least outside of summer when I'm not as thirsty. Typical day I'll have a Tenzing in the morning (plant-based energy drink), a Pepsi Max in the afternoon and a 7up in the evening.
By 9:30 this morning, I've had 2 mugs of boiled water and 3 mugs of black coffee.
And nearly half a pint of milk in my bowl of cereal.

Health is something you have to work on in modern life, sadly. The world is set up for convenience and that adds to our bellies.

I follow a healthy eating plan - easy to cut out bread, junk food etc. I used to attend Slimming World, which was a great baseline, so now just follow their plan, without the weighing.

Eat fruit instead of snacks and water - I drink galons of water - no it's not natural, you have to work on it.

I work hard (hours) and spending my free time at a gym has no appeal, so weight loss for me is all about diet and it is a plain fact you will lose weight and inches eating well.

Yes, some need a kickstart, or continued help in whatever format that is, but 90% of it really is a choice.

Only problem I know I will have is I enjoy food. I love a bit of junk food so I 100% wont be able to cut out completely but cut down on for sure

That's why I'm giving @Beezerk shakes a try.. if one of them could be a lunch replacement for sat after or during a round of golf happy days

Mate, try and be 'normal' is my best tip.

Yes, we all do the shakes and bars at first, but easier to have some fruit.

We have one cheat night a week - takeaway, whatever. Those cheat meals get smaller and you do cut out the crap - no bread with an indian, no deep fried with the chinese etc. Plus, no ale.

I can't cook anything but an egg and eggs are great for me - I don't eat breakfast, so something for lunch, healthy tea prepared by wifey and no crap after - if I am hungry I go to bed.

Best of luck with it!

If you like food, as I do, just make sure you use good ingredients and just make less (or use the freezer for extras). I suspect shakes might not be the answer if you like to eat and savour food. I have lost a few stones by changing portion size and having 2 veggie and 1 fish dish a week. No cutting out foods or anything.

I'm hoping that the jabs for 6 months will help me naturally not want the snacks again

Then I freeze a lot of things. I have 7 portions of curry in the freezer, out of cottage pie (need to batch one) and a few spag bols ready to go

I'm thinking when we get take out on a weekend on nights the shish and rice is fine but the curry just long off the naan and barjis, I share a rice as it is with a colleague

I know I won't stick to things if I take everything away

See I got home and made myself a quick lunch

Breakfast was overnight oats ate that 0830 and now it's 13:30 so 5 hours and I was starting to feel hungry (the hypothesis at work is that it's my meds that are making me feel hungry as non of them are at all but they increase my hunger) so the shopping comes today at 3 .. case of using up what's in

3 rashers of air fried bacon
2 poached eggs
1 potato waffle

Now for me that's tiny portion and I forced the egg white down (@Orikoru will testify I don't eat egg white) feeling quite full. Not completely unhealthy either

Wife says she's made a pesto pasta bake tonight which is going to fill me right up

Next time, whisk more eggs (and fine just using the yolk), make an omelette, chuck some peppers (insert any veg here). Get some frylight and one quirt is enough.

No need for the waffle to fill up, just have larger portion of the healthier stuff.

Love eggs and being weird, can only dip the yolk - can't eat it - but when whisked, I'm fine.

Baby steps, omlettes never been my bag lol 🤣 being anti egg white they always just aren't enjoyable. And fry light is banned from my pans! Stuffs awful to get off lol 🤣 I'd rather use tiny splash of oil brushed over the pan

That's what the dishwasher is for! (Normally) I did just wash it up lol 😂

Protien flap jacks arrive in an hour so might try one if I feel peckish

Have a banana instead.

Seriously bud, half of the issue is getting away from the tastes/consistency of a cake, whatever. Love my fruit. Not as much as a full tub of Ben & Jerrys, but learned to live without it.

Luckily cake isn't my bag. It's crisps which I'm avoiding. However if I avoid everything I won't stick to it. It's not me

You'd not enjoy my breakfast every day, 3 large eggs and a 100g off egg whites 😂 😂 😂

Not bad had a quick go on the scales out of curiosity.. started Thursday .. it's Monday. 3.8kg down apparently

There will be a lot of initial water weight. Carb heavy diets mean the body holds a lot of water. It won't all be that though. Cracking start...ooh went all Wallace then!

Yeah my boss has lost 17 pounds he is on week 3

Colleague is on 3 stone in week 8

I'm so angry with myself for selling golf trousers that had adjustable waists that could go down a size. Already a size below I am now so they would be so helpful right now! Lol could wear them for work before I commit to buying a size

I'm looking to buy some kettlebells for home workouts, I don't have the time nor the inclination to go to the gym.

Looking online, cast iron is the best way to go and it appears getting a 12kg and 16kg would be best for my current fitness and the fact I'm a beginner to kettlebell workouts, does anyone use them on here? Would it be best to buy one of each weight (12 and 16) or maybe a pair of 12s for instance?

Ta :)
