Losing weight/fitness thread

Yeah but the quicker I over take him the quicker I can have a little rest too. Helps us both.

I hate 5ks, you feel like you should be going at your fastest because it's the shortest distance and then you're spent after 2miles. Probably how this guy beat you.
At my local Parkrun there was an uphill section as well, plus it was three laps of the course. So by the third time I got to the uphill part I barely made it up.
 
Easy club run last night 4.5 miles @10:30 minute miles.
Then drove back up to work last night, up early for my first Hyrox class at the new gym. Been a few years since I've done a proper session like that.
Partnered with a friend from work who wants to do a mixed Hyrox at some point this year.

Last few CrossFit classes have killed me! Strict Press on Friday - ascending/descending set. Saturday was a "hero" workout "Will Lindsay" - 10 sets of 3 devil's press, 22 alternate lunges with dumbbells and 19 air squats. Over 200 lunges and 190 squats meant my legs didn't work so well on Sunday. Neither upper or lower body fully recovered for Push Press yesterday. Apparently should be 20-30% heavier than strict press but I could only add a couple of kgs.

Got a few days off this week on my bike so should feel a bit more recovered before my next class.

The Hyrox seems like a different class of fitness again, we have a couple of gyms that do the training for it now.

Dumbbell Bench Press - 5 Sets
Dumbbell Incline Bench Press - 4 Sets
Machine Fly's - 4 Sets
Bent Bar Tricep Pulldown - 4 Sets
Tricep Rope Pulldown - 4 Sets to failure
Ez Bar Bicep Curl - 4 Sets to failure

Last 2 Supersets with no rest in between.

Gym was busy last night so missed out on a couple of exercises I like to do normally.
 
Fell off the wagon,.. had a McD Philly Steak Burger... delicious, but the guilt is killing me.
Dont punish yourself and dont let the guilt affect you. Every food and drink should be on the menu, just have it in moderation. Enjoy it.

I love KFC but it cripples me with indigestion everytime so i havent had it in over 12months.

No Instagram.. but plenty of Kilograms (to get rid off)
 
Weighed myself yesterday and I was 13 stone 8 & 3/4 - down from around 13 stone 11 last time I weighed myself. Was surprised at that as I haven't done anything excercisey in a long time. I even had three takeaways last weekend as well, although they were all on the healthier side - Pho beef brisket noodle soup on Friday, sushi on Saturday, chicken shish with bulghur wheat on Sunday. I think Friday I had an Oreo milkshake too, but liquid calories obviously don't count. :LOL:

Joking aside, we must be doing something right with our portions. My wife is claiming credit for the concoction of pills she's got me on too, but who knows.
Just weighed myself again now and I'm 13 stone 6. I'm honestly not sure how this is happening. Maybe the scales are broken. :unsure:

Single Handle Lat Rows - 3 Sets

Garbage workout tonight, struggled to get going, the half 4 starts are catching up on me now, looking forward to my time off.

Happens but at least you went. Had a great workout last night but last week the gym was too full around the free weights so tried to mix it up on some of the machines. Just couldn't get into it.
