LIV Golf

LOL! In four years, the only world-class golfers that LIV has produced were Gooch and Niemann. Young guys with potential will never live up to it in that environment. It may change when they play 72 holes, though.
All these years we've been fooled into thinking improvement came via coaching & practice - when actually it is all from who's running a tournament! Who knew 😉😉

Good luck to him.
Maybe there's been a bit going on outside of golf that contributed to his poor form the last couple of years.
Might be worth a flutter on a comeback once the sprog's a bit older.
Golf is really hard, I’ve never played a sport as hard, and I’ve always played sport, goodness knows what it’s like for Professionals when the margins are so tight, 30 is really young, there has to be something else happening here in my opinion.

Will have made enough £££ last few years on Liv to sit with the toes up for the rest of his days back home.

Shame that one bad drive at the PGA sent his career a total different way from where it could’ve went, every chance there’s more going on though 30 is young.

To retire at 30 years old with his talent you have to think there is something going on off the course.
Not aware of any debilitating injuries.

A real positive these days is a better understanding of mental health and people not being as critical when you see something like this, accepting that could be the issue.
You look at professional golfers and think they are living the dream when for all we know like Grayson Murray they could be living a nightmare.

I just hope he is in a happy place.

Sitting out 2026 apparently
Depends what article you read. According to some he’ll be playing more of a DPWT schedule that allows him more time with family. He has injuries to recover from and it’s been a rough year personally with his wife having a miscarriage earlier on in the season.

Wish the lad well I like watching him at full flow. End of the day he’s made a decision that will benefit him and his family more.

Victory for the anti LIV brigade? 😆
Always sad when people gloat and take pride when someone else has made a decision based on personal circumstances.

I hope Brooks plays plenty of DPWT as he has a good game for a variety of courses and not just the borefest bomb and gouge PGAT

Im sure Brooks is ok with his decisions.
All the guys that chose to join LIV don’t even know any of the people that spend their life’s hating on them exist.

First time I’ve posted on this thread for 2-3 years, only came on once I saw the rumours…

No gloating. Have to say, Brookes was probably the one i was most gutted to see go to LIV. Always loved his game and his competitive spirit. Would be great to see him back on the DPWT next season, where it pretty much all began for him.

Always that competitive spirit was saved for the Majors.....which he is extremely good at.

So ultimately what does this mean for LIV

Koepka was one of the big players that they managed to persuade to move , he was also the player that won the major when player on LIV , he has shown in majors how dominant he can be

With the struggles LIV are having getting any decent level of players in is this start of a downward movement

Do they need to replace him with another huge player but is there one that will move across now since the big money fees have gone

At the moment if they don’t replace him it’s a bit like when Liverpool sold Suarez and replaced him with Ricky Lambert

Did see an opinion that they see LIV just melting into the Asian Tour and becoming elevated events on that tour

Have they reached their peak and it’s either stagnate now until the likes of Rahm etc leave or it’s starts to drop now with Koepka the first domino to drop
