LIV Golf

How does that work with a shotgun start of if you have 3 groups on one hole ?

The group on 18 will come round and then you have people waiting ?

Also which players will they use to fill the gaps ?

Don’t know, it worked at the weekend apparently.

As for filling gaps, I’d imagine it will be reserves, or new signings.

Rumours circulating that the league is about to jump up to 60 players - on Sunday 3 groups started on the 1st hole which has been described as "The Final Test", this frees up space on the course to get 20 x 3 balls starting on each hole. It would make sense as I've seen a few people criticise the gaps in play at times when you're located on one hole (such as in hospitality etc)
So name change to LX then?

I bet they are regretting the 'clever' L1V name now.

I'm not antil-L1V btw.

I suppose they could go with L1V+V1.. ;)

What do you think will happen Phil - the players are still banned by the PGAT, they still have a better t's and c's with LIV, and some of those that got large signing on fees will have equity in their respective teams.

I’m sure the bans will be lifted very quickly if the players decided to move back to the PGAT

I’m not sure what the different “T&C’s” are

And how much is the equity worth in teams that have next to minimum value

So if Koepka wanted to play on the PGAT instead of LIV after his contract end do you not see any ban being lifted

I'd think the lawyers would have a field day suing the PGAT to death if they suddenly started lifting bans for non contracted LIV players - don't you?

Not just for loss of earnings while they've been unjustly banned, but damage to their reputation, etc. It's all well documented thanks to the snarling nature of the likes of Chamblee, Lynch etc.

Why ? If the players have left LIV and then want to play on the PGAT they would just become PGAT members again

12 month suspension mate - the PGAT have stood firmly by their policies and have been endorsed by the likes of yourself for doing so. Are you now suggesting that those rules and regulations don't actually matter?

🤷‍♂️

Where did I suggest that ?

I’m very sure that if the likes of Koepka decided to leave LIV at the end of their contracts and wanted to play on the PGAT again then there is no doubt something will be sorted

Who exactly would sue the PGAT ?

There were people lining up to sue the PGAT before Monahan faked an agreement with Yasir to drop the legal action. Nice move, insidious, but it bought him some time. If the PGAT drop the 12 month suspensions everybody from players to sponsors will be filing lawsuits.. think about it...

Maybe the reason that the LIV guys won't be offered big retention payments is because they won't be needed. The PGAT will be under new leadership, quite possibly by someone that is good friends with Scott O'Neil - so maybe we will finally see some sensible decision making being done, rather than total hostility towards LIV.

Who are these people lining up to sue the PGAT ?

If they are allowed to play on PGAT again after leaving then why would they be suing - why would sponsers sue when they may get some big name player back

And if LIV don’t need those players anymore - who is filling the gaps left by them

Even under any change of leadership the PGAT thinking won’t change - they won’t allow players to pick and chose events just like LIV don’t allow players to pick and chose events

Mate, the PGAT were under investigation from the Department of Justice for operating a monopoly within mens pro golf. They have used the 12 month suspension to try and prevent players leaving for good money. They've lost sponsors, TV viewing numbers are down by hundreds of thousands, they have slandered players, agents, even countries. They used THE most horrific terrorist attack in our lifetime as a means of pushing back against LIV, and you honestly believe that they can come out and say "none of that mattered really - guys, you're welcome back" without any repercussions...
