Wonder if changes will be made to LIV to gain ranking points

Seemed that Norman had little interest but the new guy may well look at the make up of the qualifying to help get ranking points
Looking more likely that LIV will be treated as the other tours in regards of ranking points.
Looks like LIV aren’t just a flash in the pan as we were told 😬 👍🏻👍🏻

Be interesting to hear from Immleman. Through the Presidents Cup stuff he came across as a bit of a 'PGAT yes man' (IMO). But he is (was) an International player and he's come into the role from outside the 'club' a bit.
As well as the LIV CEO change, also a R&A CE change, so perhaps some new willingness to try to find a compromise all round.

The stumbling block last time was the closed shop nature and the lack of qualifying

They will still need to find a way to ensure there is a consistent qualification path

OWGR is so far out of whack it will struggle to ever show a realistically accurate ranking of the worlds best players.
Livs best players have fallen so far down they will take years to get back anywhere near their true ranking.

Data Golf is a far more reliable system as it scores on strokes gained against difficulty of course and field.

Or, they decided the outcome and then looked for reasons to explain it away. 😉

Don't wish to fire up the merry-go-round again, either they are the self proclaimed deciders of how things have to be done, or they focus on their 'core business' of making rankings.

Had forgotten the CEO of PGA of America also changed this year.

Ultimately it still probably isn't worth the trouble - with the shift to focus more on field size, and how far many of the players have dropped in the interim.

Observations.
When Scheffler tees up this week won't he have played 4 out of 5 weeks?

Some of those not in the PGA will no doubt be playing in Japan in May.

This week’s tournament is just down the road from Scheffler’s house though, so not exactly the same degree of travel…

Is that this week ?

So they have gone from Mexico to Korea

Interesting scheduling especially with the PGA in 2 weeks

Would have thought that with them being far east recently they would have scheduled Korea close to Singapore to help reduce travelling

Wonder what affect it will have on the players at the PGA
Don't think they fly cattle class.

Perhaps an interesting psychological might be why the apparent obsession is with these numbers?

If I choose to watch some liv in the morning, or some PGAT in the evening, or some DPWT during the day (admittedly not this weekend) - it never crosses my mind how many people might be watching on tv in the US. I have no influence over it, it has no influence over me. It has no bearing on any decisions I may make.
Perhaps I'm unusual.

Anyone who went last year to JCB, I pre-registered for tickets this year as just want a one day (Friday) grounds pass. I got the email for pre access today but the only grounds pass is a 3 day one. Is this normal and will the normal grounds pass be released after the pre sale?

£102 for the 3 day pass is good value to be fair, but you will be able to buy a single days pass in the next few weeks.
