LIV Golf

Probably the same as those who spend all day on here getting their snide little anti-LIV digs in.
It's a fair question.
If someone was being paid by titlelist to relentlessly post puff pieces on their products, I think it would be polite to publicly acknowledge the relationship.
How is this different?

No reason why you can't ask but if I remember rightly the question has been raised more than once since this thread started. However, I'm not going to sift through nearly 900 pages to prove a point. Mel just seems a big fan so good luck to him. For me, I like both PGA and LIV. On the other hand TGL definitely not my thing.

I think we would all be interested in LIV if were were getting paid to be, so at least MelSmooth is honest on that point.
What is interesting is that despite LIVs slick media effort and social media campaign, it hasnt gained any traction with the wider public. When new, there was always the point that it was early and it needed time to establish itself. But that doesnt really apply now, and even the headlines it garnered just for being new, and its contest with the other tours, has slipped into the back ground now, and it is probably at it lowest ebb in terms of profile that it has ever been. With Norman leaving, there is a sense that it is just going through the motions as a tour until something is concluded between the PIF and the PGAT to learn where its fate lies.

Sorry Dunesman, I was joking about getting paid.

You probably need to do some fact checking on the rest of your post.

Not sure Chacarra's comments are particularly wise - he's taken a dig at the people that he admits have set him up financially for life - and he's portraying that he's left to try and get onto the PGAT and ultimately into the majors, even though the Fireballs opted not to renew his contract, and no other team offered him a deal. If that was all his choice, fair enough, but pathways will be created into Majors for LIV players that are good enough - we're seeing that on an ongoing basis, so if he wants to play Majors, he needs to play better and get the invites.

I wish him well, it just didn't pan out for the kid but his words do look a little salty.

Ah, OK. No offence meant, but your posts do come across as a bot or paid fanboy, so I can see how people would ask. Plus, its rather amazing to actually have someone that genuinely likes and follows every little drip of LIV news. LIV has a few great golfers, but its like they have gone to tbe dark side of the moon, and nobody really follows them until the majors or such as Dechambeau for his youtube channel which is damn good, but not for the actual LIV tournaments. LIV should definitely be talking to you to see why you like it yet for most people its a non-event.

Does make you wonder why this thread alone has 18k posts 🤯

Not really. Thats because people are following the fight between Liv and the PGAT, what golfer will go from the main tours, whether LIV will survive at all, what changes will happen as a consequence of LIv to the PGAT and European. Its not because people are fillowing the actual LIV golf tournaments or its players themselves is what I mean.

Agree. Even LIV fanatics never talk about the golf/ during tournaments they rarely comment.

People also have to understand that they have a right to praise LIV golf as much as they like, but they shouldn't get upset when others call it trash.

Yes, if they are cheerleaders, it appears it is for LIV itself in the contest, and not for the actual goings on with the golf on LIV itself. Which adds to their perception of being LIV shills, and why they do not seem credible to most followers of pro golf.

Labelling those who don't share your views bots/shills/paid agents/cheerleaders/etc. doesn't do anything for credibility either.
