Kirkland golf balls

that`s what i am moaning about, read allot of negative stuff about them, wont ever order from them as they seem like a bunch of chancers.

It is they way they did it that annoys me, saying that they are out of stock, when they are not so they can push the price up.
The thing is I would have paid £25 a box if they were that at the start.

Apologies - thought we were on about Kirland balls :), missed the link bit about Golf Depot, and the $19.99 Costco price matches pretty much exact at the moment. Mizuno balls maybe subject to the same problem if they are imported from Japan, the Yen rate is horribly against us right now.

I wouldnt be surprised if these kirklands never make the UK market. Costco is huge over in the US (rightly so what a great shop.. the parking spaces alone are designed for actual cars!) anyways their huge over there and so is golf.. its a match made in heaven

costco over here on the other hand not that many warehouses.. its luck if you live near one or not. their golf section varys on season but its always tiny.

I wouldnt be surprised if they didnt bother.. they have callaway balls for sale similar price to what I expect these to be.. they prob think one type is enough

this isnt fact of course pure speculation however we are just small fish this side of the pond!

I do live near one (MK), and work right by another (Reading), they are both stupidly busy with people all the time. they must do a ridiculous amount of trade. You're right in the golf section being quite restricted, but they do seem to have been running their Callaway balls down - I've been checking a few times recently in the hope the Kirkland balls were going to make an appearance, and last time they only had about 10 boxes of balls left on the shelf in MK.

I spoke to the Manager in the Gateshead Branch and the Kirkland Golf Balls have been added to their stock control system, which he stated means he will be getting stock as it is that system he has to plan his shelves around, however, they only had an expected arrival date of Jan 2017.
The US Costco site is also limiting the Golf Balls to 2 packs per customer.

Has there ever been a more anticipated ball? Limiting customers to 2 boxes per customer is madness!

They're in demand so they will easily sell them and by limiting quantities they keep more customers happy, also stops the eBay sellers buying up all the stock. A few years ago Costco did really nice Kirkland leather gloves very cheap, wish they would bring those back as well.

If demand is so great that they sell out within a day of being back in stock, not sure why they don't raise the price to $39.99 or so.

Costco is a weird place pricing wise, most stuff is cheaper to buy in Tesco/Morrisons/Asda but occasionally they do absolute gems that work out really cheap

Pretty easy to pick up decent tour standard balls for under £15 a doz if you keep your eyes peeled.

Anymore expensive and you're competing with big brands, I guess the appeal of them go out the window.

I don't find the supermarkets cheaper than Costco very often at all. Some things are cheaper on supermarket specials and online but Costco has so much under one roof and a great returns policy I think it easily justifies the yearly membership. Also find a few American items that are not readily available elsewhere and their own brand Kirkland stuff is usually very good quality at great prices.

No Costco near me in the southwest but when people do get them I got a few sleeves of the Snell mtb balls. I wouldn't mind a swop for a sleeve of Kirkland

their meat is almost unbeatable (apart from smithfields market) the value is outstanding.. massive stick of black pudding to make 28 black puddings £2.30.. bargain lol

their great if you own a shop I guess or a cafe because they have the bulk items

we mainly use for bog roll and the kirkland water

that and my callaway shoes every year

returns policy is great

I think it depends on what you want from Costco at the time. Some things are significantly cheaper than the supermarket, some not so. You get to know which regular items are good value, these make it worth shopping there.

What Costco say about Kirkland Signature Products (http://www.costco.com/kirkland-signature.html)

With Kirkland Signature, Costco can develop new products, new categories and new products in existing categories, which allows the company to control the quality of the Kirkland Signature product and drive down prices on competing national brands.

"The working rule followed by Costco buyers is that all Kirkland Signature products must be equal to or better than the national brands, and must offer a savings to our members,".

With that in mind, am expecting good things from these balls if and when they show up in the UK.

Noticed on Facebook that Peter Finch has some of the Kirkland balls to test along with the Snell ones. Says he will be doing some youtube reviews soon.

The K Sig, which I have been told is exact same ball as these but with costco branding, is available here for £34.99 per dozen if anyone wants to try.

  • Cover - Thermoset Urethane strong and yet offering great softness and control
  • Core - NdBR long off the tee
  • Inner Mantel helps deliver long drives
  • Outer Mantel ensures a great balance between low spin off the tee but much higher spin with irons
  • Dimple design optimised aerodynamically to provide long drives but high backspin around the green
Independent tests revealed that this ball sold under the brand name of a large American discount store not only compared but out preformed the No. 1 selling ball in America.

If the Nassau balls are the same as the costco ones (and I'm sure that finch is correct), it's a little disappointing to see them at that sort of price. Might not be able to get pro-v for that, but could source most other premium balls for something similar.

I was hoping for something nearer £20-25 given the costco prices. Ah well, hopefully someone finally puts a stake through the premium ball pricing soonish.

I've been shopping at Costco for years and I think they're great. Like you I tend to buy certain things in bulk but buy a lot of other things in there. Last year I spent enough to warrant the exec membership so the cash back on that should bring cost down further.

And of course golf gloves, pack of 3 leather Callaway for about £13

I have dealings with Costco HQ in Watford and will drop my contact there an email to see if he can shed any light on the Kirkland ball situation for U.K.
