He had to cut his footballing career short due to injury, so he's decided to try & become a pro golfer. Currently playing on the Euro Pro tour. He'd definitely bring some humour to the game.

Struggled to last 90 mins so 72 holes might be a problem!

He's made it through to final qualifying for the europro so must have a semblance of talent in there. He was on the Alan Brasil breakfast show on talk sport recently and I'm sure it was mentioned he had a +1 handicap up at the Wisely so why not now he has no football.

Nice fella to he owns what is now my old local from when I lived in dartford his dad runs it for him but I never knew he even played golf till the talksport chat always thought his other passion was fishing.

I've just been watching him on Golfing world. Looks like it comes natural to him. Said he hadn't had a lesson upto 3wk ago.

I also saw the golfing world special on him and he looked decent and played two holes on camera, birdied a par 5 then got a bogey a par 4 after his putt slipped by.

saw this on twitter last week when he made his debut shot a 78 in the end i think, hope it all works out for him alwyas seemed a nice bloke and if he was off +1 and has worked his way through on merit all credit to him.

Met him a few times at Fulhams training ground and he's as nutty as a box of frogs but a great guy too. I was trying to entice him and a few of the Fulham boys to my place before he got moved to another club. Loves the game and surprisingly (for a footballer)very knowledgable about all aspects and its history and traditions

Id be surprised if footballers know as little about golf as you suggest. Quite a lot of them have it as a hobby and have much more spare time than regular joe blogs to learn about it.

Yes I'm sure Premiership footballers are prone to talking golf with some random and agreeing to a round of golf!

Not quite that random. My cousin was in charge of security at their Motspur Park training ground at the time and got to meet a few of the players on a regular basis for a bit and Bullard was the main one along with Maurice Volz who was also barking mad. Use to see them at the reserve team games as well. Take the point though
