Nah. Bought iPad 2's when the price dropped. By all accounts the screen is the biggest improvement.

Been reading up about it and watching the videos. Does look stunning. I haven't got a tablet. Tempted as it seems good value at £399.00.

The misses has the 2 smiffy and it's awesome, but by all accounts the screen on the 3 is special. It looks to me apple are aiming for people to change every other year with the way they are changing the models.

Owners of iPad 1's didnt get enough to warrant the change to 2, but will see enough change to get the 3, the misses doesn't see enough of a change to get the 3 but will no doubt get the 4

And this is working true with the phones too

So could you use a wireless mouse and keyboard with one of these and use it in a similar way to a laptop??? Excuse the numpty question.

Not that I'm aware of. But we use hers for alot, and the sky go app is awesome for watching the golf while she watches a film on the big tele.

bluetooth devices I believe work smiffy, would probs have to be apple approved/made for ipad jobbies

Smiffy you can't use a wireless mouse, but you can plug in a keyboard if you would prefer that to the onscreen one

The appletv is a good add on smiffster, £100 and then you use your tv as the screen, 42" iPad is nice for web surfing, game playing or film watching/making

Not just the screen thats upgraded, the processor is upgraded too.

As long as gullible people are willing to pay twice the price of normal tablets, apple will do well.
If anyone is looking for a decent tablet they could do a lot worse than try out the Ainol Novo 7 Aurora (and its pronounced inol )

But would it hold it's value like an iPad?
Suppose you were short of a bob or two a year down the line and needed to sell. You would great a greater percentage of your iPad money back. So is it really more expensive???

Keep the £200+ you saved from not buying the ipad in the first place and stick it in the bank. Whatever you get extra back from the sale of the tablet is extra.
A used original Ipad goes for around 200 quid now so that gives you an idea of used prices a couple of years down the line.
