If you could only use one brand of equipment...

Unsurprisingly Mizuno.

MP650 driver
MP650 3 and 5 wood
MP64/69 combo 3-5 64's 6-W 69's
MP-R 12 52 and 58 wedges
Mizuno Bettinardi C-05 putter.

Same ball

Where do I sign :smirk:

Not a criticism, but finding it hard to understand all the posts I have read where people would not play with what they have listed in their signature. If you do not like hem, then why are you using them and why did you buy them in the first place?

I have Cally, Titleist, TM and Mizuno in my bag because each fulfills a purpose...

If I have to use one manufacturer then - well, I can't have all 4 can I...?

REALLY, don't see much love for Nike

Having just got back from the range where I hit my new VR ltd edition 3 wood for the first time (in between wiping ice off the face after every few shots... brrrr), I may have to change my choice to Nike. I already love my Nike putter, and the 3w was ace. So a matching driver and if I could get some irons I like, and the pro combos are well reviewed, then Nike could be the ticket.

I noticed that despite an almost full Nike set you didn't pick Nike yourself, why not if you don't mind me asking?

Because I have only just taken up the game a year ago. My brother in law is a pro and served me really well with regards to getting my equipment which has grown to what I have listed below. One day, I would like a bag of Titleist clubs, yes. But I did not think it would be right getting them right from the start.

Thats fair enough mate, like I said it was not a pop at you, more of a question into why people are saying they would change to a manufacturer they do not currently use.

honest answer, I don't know other than I just love the idea of being fitted up for all of the latest titleist kit.

I don't know how good nikes latest wedges are and the thread reads 'one brand' and don't know anyone with a bad thing to say about vokeys or Scotty Camerons

Not wishing to put words in MadAdey's mouth/keyboard, but I suspect that comment wasn't aimed at you. You have got some titleist in your bag so you have obviously decided that certain clubs of their's work best for you, from there it's just which is the least compromise for the rest of your set if you had to pick one manufacturer.
It is a little odd to see people picking a manufacturer who's clubs they have none of, surely you would pick one that had at least something good enough for you to use if you weren't restricted?
Not a criticism, it would just be great to hear the logic behind the choices, all part of the discussion :)

Well obviously you can't have all 4 if you are only allowed one, that would make the thread pointless. Read the complete thread and what I posted. It was just wondering why so many people have said they would have a certain manufacturer when they do not really use any of their kit already. Like yourself, you said earlier it would be Titleist. It just seems strange that you would dump your driver, irons and putter to keep your 5w and wedges. When staying with cally you would only have to change your wedges and fairways. Obviously you feel that your wedges and fairways enable you to shoot lower scores more than your current driver, irons and putter do.

I see your point - but changing to AP2's from Razr Tours wouldn't be a left turn at the traffic lights, Drivers are like underwear to me -changing again - and I've used a RedX before so not a bigish deal.
Personally I wouldn't want Cally wedges - the bounce always seems a bit high....

Agree it's strange that some don't have a, for example, Titleist club but shoose them for their 1 manufacturer..

What was yours again? You know that hat's got to go............

I was just curious at some of the choices people had made but you have said your thinking behind it and it does make sense.

I said TM as I love their woods and have used a bag full of them for years, but I am loving these MP33's I have just bought......:mmm:

Now now murg no need to be jealous of the hat.....
