My dreams stretch to something more extravagant than the latest Titleist driver.

Money no object, I’d have my own golf course. I’d buy Sunningdale, kick out the members, convert the clubhouse into my house, and have a lovely back garden for my mates and I to play golf.

Perhaps it’s a bit selfish taking 36 holes for myself, so maybe I’d settle for somewhere nearby like Swinley.

I'm happy to play actual golf with my current clubs, but with money no object then I would be looking for some new Miura 501 cb, Taylormade 300 Forged and Cleveland TA2's and having them all rebuild specifically for me.

Again, having had these discussions in the clubhouse I always state how happy I am with where I live, my current house and my current club, but if I had the option I would like a 2nd membership at either Hartlepool or Cleveland, or even both, just for the winter. And a membership at one of the Lothian Links courses for trips away, I'd have to try them all of course before deciding which one.

Coaches, I'm not sure about that. I had a couple of lessons with a DPWT coach and found it pretty underwhelming. On the other hand I watched a video of Rick Shiels having a session with Claude Harmon which impressed me greatly, and at $700 a pop it's a bargain.

Clubs - dunno, but I'd change them a year later

Coach - Pete Cowan, by a long way the best there is, and I've met him a couple of times and he's a real nice guy

Course - Sunningdale Old, just a delight to play.

A serious lack of imagination displayed here.

Driver and woods would be easy. TSR3s all round with AD-DI shafts.

Irons would be a different matter with so many to choose from. As we are in fantasy land, I’d have a couple of sets.

I’d have a set of Itobori like these.

And then a set of custom Artisans as a backups.

Wedges and putter would be from Artisan.

I could happily play Woodhall Spa or Hollinwell for the rest of my days. And I’d have membership with Dormie Network.

George Gankas as a swing coach. Plus a staff of specialists.

Clubs - whatever was best for me. I also love the idea as above of some forged totally customised Japanese irons.

Course - without moving house, I’d join Blackwell (certainly don’t have the bank balance for it at present) as it’s only 25 mins away from me.

Coach - Tiger 😂
