Could it just be the switch from an insert to a milled face? Not sure how I would gauge it not working for me after 1 round.Looks to me that you like (love ? ) your new putter, but it doesn‘t work for you !![]()

New feels and time required often the case with new litters more than most clubs imo. That being said I switched back to a blade from a mallet and an instant love affair began with so many holes putts and better pace control. Think my stroke just naturally suits a blade though as I tend to let it open and close naturally during the stroke and mallets just don’t seem to do that when I use them.Could it just be the switch from an insert to a milled face? I’ve always had milled but liked the look of the Ping Tyne 4. But I just can’t putt with an insert and I made the mistake of persevering with it for so long that now swapping back to milled is catching me out.New feels and time required often the case with new litters more than most clubs imo. This could just be the difference between hitting one out of the centre of the face or hitting one out of the toe/heel.I think so : I‘m not shure if my Ray Cook putter is milled. In fact, I doubt it. But the Oddessey has an insert, and I consider him to be absolute unpredictable : One time my putts are to short, the next one won‘t stop at all !
That‘s why I returned to the Ray Cook !

The "Trampoline Effect" vs. Constant CompressionPossible. But why doesn‘t that happen with the Ray Cook at all ?![]()
I love the courses but the town is a dump. Nothing to do but drink in the clubhouses36 holes practice round for the Tassie at Carnoustie, cold but boy do I love this place![]()

Got to be better than watching your team play matePlayed much golf in the last two weeks. Most recently:
Tuesday - Golf Pairs at The Welcombe - my partner was Crow and was great to catch up. Didn't set the world alight on the leaderboard, but an enjoyable round.
Friday - Little Aston - Amateur Tour Pairs - this was on my list of courses that I wanted to play and it did not disappoint. In great condition and felt premium throughout. I played my best for a while as well, although not necessarily reflected in the scoring.
Saturday - club stableford - the good form from the previous day lasted for three holes and then the poor shot making kicked back in and ended up with 29 points.
