Just keep calling out

"Come On!!!"

It really does put people off especially when they're on the green and you're watching from 70yds away on the fairway. :D

4 or 5 times will ALWAYS WORK and they can't complain when you explain that the idea for them is to keep up with the group in front not to stay in front of the group behind and hold them up. They ain't got a leg to stand on. They will be very pleased to have learnt a new rule

nb: sometimes you can literally SMELL their round falling to bits in front of you

IIIIIIIIIIII lllllllllllike it.......

Problem with shouting out loud to the group in front is that you could easily disturb others on the course. But desperate times sometimes require desperate measures.

I thought a gatling gun was going to be mentioned....guaranteed results!

How can you be sure that the guys ahead aren't also being held up? And resolved/been told that there is no point going through?

I'd suggest 'Get A Move On!' would be better. 'Come On!' could be misconstrued as self admonishment.

Would you have to drop a club from your bag to carry that though?

Now anyone with any sense knows that a Garling Gun will virtually take up the entire space available in your bag and make it impossible to carry owing to the weight,
Even your trolley may need reinforcing......
A far better suggestion is a 12 bore :)

I actually had to do this a few weeks back... I stood in the middle of the 1st fairway for 21 mins waiting.... In the end I called "OI" to them. I felt terrible about doing it but 20 mins to chip and putt was too much for me in the end.
