Recently delivered was this putter, the "Hammy"!

Very much against what we know now about putter design with weight concentrated immediately behind the sweet spot, rather than either side and towards the back.

It also has an on-set face which is unusual for a blade putter and for the time has very little loft.

Should be an interesting one to use on the course.

I'm not sure who made it but it might be J.B. Halley, purely on the similarity of the "Hammy" script to the Halley signature used on some of their clubs.

Two pair of Oscar Jacobson thermal golf trousers half price in Snaiton golf.
I'm sending my ones back. They claimed they were regular fit in the product description but they are actually slim fit and bloody horrible. No give at the calves at all, look ad feel terrible. Emailed Snainton with my thoughts on the mis-representation.

A PX Evenflow Riptide (small batch) stiff driver shaft from GolfClubs4Cash. It turns out that I had a boat load of loyalty points from previous purchases, and so I was able to buy this new shaft for £2.34. I feel quite chuffed with myself.

It's going into a Bridgestone J33R driver.

The Bridgestone J33R is an absolute beast!! My son has just gone back to his with a Matrix Ozilk shaft and its as long and in some cases longer than all his subsequent drivers (and there's been a few!!).

Not bad for a 19 year old club.

I'd be really interested to hear how yours performs against the latest and greatest drivers.

I've owned a couple in the past. They look nice, plain and simple, and they sound great with a deep thud out of the middle.

This one currently has a UST regular V2, but it's getting the stiff PX Evenflow so we'll see.

I took it to the range yesterday and hit it against my Mizuno ST-x 230, there was nothing to choose between them.

I took it out on the course today and the most noticeable thing was how it took the left-hand side of the course out of the equation, which suits me fine.

Yeah, no response to email either.

Sent mine back on Saturday. Also costs £3.95 to return them.

Coloured my view of Snainton a little.
Can you argue they are 'not as described' hence they should pay the return cost? Well I guess you've already done that in a way. Worth arguing though.

For four quid?

Are they marked slim fit, or do they just fit slim? - if marked as slim, then worth a moan.
No, they are being sold as "regular fit" which is clearly incorrect as the product itself has a Slim Fit label on them. There is no other reference to slim fit anywhere on the product page.

The £4 is inconsequential, but the principle of charging a return fee for a seller mistake is the real point.

Been on Gimmeballs again ..
random 3 sleeves of trial balls
3 chrome tour x (favourite so far but I lost all of them ☹️)
3 Wilson staff x ( tried std model staff but Triad spun more)
3 Kirkland v3 signatures
3 titleist speed

So far
Chrome tour x is awesome.. does everything but it’s expensive
Wilson Triad .. not far off the Chrome tour x , comparable to prov1x but better durability
Wilson staff long but low spin you see it roll on with iron shots - okay if you want that but I would rather have more spin and remove it with shot type/loft
Tour response - not got out again to use it but I know I like it.

Ad333 is std ball, been using prov1x as well .. think ad333 is a damn good ball but short off the driver . Prov1x lacks durability otherwise good

I got a very nice reply from the owner.

There is a returns process on the website where Royal Mail pick it up and even print the label for you.
Their picking it up tomorrow..
Or a QR code to take to the PO if you don’t have a printer.

Looking at the trousers OJ have put the slim fit label inside the folded trousers and it’s not visible through the plastic bag.
So some sympathy for the shop.

But doing some reading Desmond trousers are only made in a slim fit. ( tailored)

Yeah, read the returns policy, that’s where I noticed that the return costs £3.95 and this is deducted from the refund.

I did get a response from their website team and they are going to update the info. Like you say, the info is available for the product and it is the retailer’s responsibility to ensure accuracy of listing.

I’m sure I’d get a few emails if I listed a dining table made of oak on my website but sent one made of sapele.

Reading the posts above about snainton and paying returns… can’t recommend golfbase highly enough. Decent range, reasonably priced, free delivery on orders over £30, free returns.

Got the call, fitted iron combo set ready, so got my hands on them, hit a few balls on their range and left very happy.

Still outstanding a 5 wood, but that’s the bag change almost complete now.
