Im just wondering what the general consensus is about this......
As most know iv been laid up with a cast the past 10 weeks but im now in 2 shoes albeit nowhere near 100% and last weekend i shot a couple of shots lower than my handicap....It was only a bounce round but i was happy with the outcome......

So this weekend iv entered the first singles medal.....I still have a bit to go strength wise and also flexibility wise but i can get the ball out there a decent enough distance.....
Im hoping that ill get a buggy for the round as i know my leg wouldn't last 9 let alone 18 walking....

So what would you think if someone rolled up to your course at the weekend played in a medal in a Buggy and beat the field to win the Comp?

The last course I worked at had a rule....
If you want to use a buggy in a club comp, you need a doctors certificate saying you need one.

Nothing whatsoever..........guys play medals or comps every wed / sat / sun at our place, in buggies
I aint gota problem with it, they still gota swing the club and get it in the hole.....

Good Luck to you

Theres a couple of older guys at my course that has them and use them in comps and i dont see a problem with it.

To be honest Bob i would totally agree with this.......Ok I'm actually genuine but i think that it may be an advantage over the people having to walk the course.....

We only have two buggies anyway so it isn't a huge issue and I think they are usually borrowed by guys with injuries. I wouldn't have an issue but I'm sure its another thing on Shivas's list that means he wouldn't play with them as they are clearly cheating and gaining a huge advantage

I don't mind. Most guys who take a buggy at my track fill it with beer and wine. They never win anything. No surprise there then.

Seriously, if you can't walk 18, then I'd have no issues with you buggying it.

when its a good day i would prefer to walk all the time. the only time a buggy is good is if its a massive course with long walks between holes or if its raining.
