Comments on the Open thread, prompted me to wonder how much golf people watch on TV, I have a friend who watches everything and records what she misses, however I normally only watch the Majors and the Ryder Cup.

So I have done a poll.

None at the moment.. I might put it on if there's nothing else to do.. Sometimes have it on in the background whilst I'm listening to some music at night.. Better things to do with my time really..

Oh, and the poll still hasn't shown up.. :D

Both the European Tour and the PGA are on every week. Mrs Hobbit, who doesn't play, watches it avidly. She knows who caddies for who, and who they used to caddy for. She knows who's been doing whatever both within and without golf... she's a golf geek.

And even though its on I rarely watch it.

As much as the a PGA tour that I can. The euro tour is pretty dull but is normally on during the day anyway but I rarely watch the highlights of that.

Stayed up until 2 last night watching the PGA, just glad it starts a bit earlier tonight.

Usually catch Sunday nights and the majors. Sporadically other days unless its a tournament I want to see.

I watch a good bit, get to see some from most events, try to catch the final day from them if I can and some highlights. Watch a good chunk from all four days of the majors though, even the par 3 from the masters if I can.

At the moment its just what's on BBC - 4/5ths of not a lot!
But I'm sure NowTV will find its way into the house in time for the USOpen...

Pretty constantly unless there is something else on id rather watch. Loving seeing them in Hawaii right now, s bit jealous after my very icy round this morning.

I watch almost all the pga stuff and if I'm working from home Thursday of Friday I'll have the ET on in the background. Really love it when they show LPGA or LET.

Mrs FD quite enjoys it as well although she draws the line at shells wonderful world of golf or pga tour classic, which I watch when there's no live golf.

I've lost count of the number of times I've seen the "sporting greats" programmes on jack and Seve and the other one about the "big three".

I don't have a tv. But I do watch occasionally via internet stream. Not often, though, maybe once a month. I do watch a lot of YouTube vids, though, mostly course vlogs.

I watch a lot of golf,I certainly get my money's worth out of SkySports, and that's without the Football & Darts.
I sometimes have to pick & chose what I watch to keep the Mrs happy tho.

I'll watch the Masters and the Open. That's about it.
Have absolutely no interest in watching things like the "Greater Wendy's Classic" won by Ni Tang Yuk at 23 under par.

Most weekends I'll watch up to 1-2 hours of PGA or European Tour on Saturday and Sunday. More if its a bigger event but less or none for the smaller events. Often just have it on in the background while I'm reading. Will watch as much as possible of the Majors and Ryder Cup and give it more attention.

Wouldn't normally watch the current event in Hawaii but Spieth is playing so well and it seems an interesting course so that caught my attention last night and I watched for about an hour.
