How Much For a Club Sweater

£40+ for the privilege of representing the Club in a Match........once.
As q favour....

Mmm...wonder why I don't do this at my place.....?

Prob the same ones we have Phil, think ours are priced about the same.

Yeah I think Glenmuir are the common ones

We have just started to stock Sunderland club polos and also Ashworth which are pretty good and a bit cheaper

Would like them in Lyle and Scott like a Val's place

I'm playing for the club team in my first match tomorrow and am being lent a jumper. Had to buy a white polo though as I don't do white ones.

Ours a funded by the club. I paid £20 for a footjoy athletic top and have been given an OJ polo and sleeveless jumper.

If you're playing for the team, or representing them in any way, then surely shirt/jumper should be FREE.....??

Our teams are all given them for free

Club logo jumpers can be bought for around £40-50 in the club shop, should you wish to purchase

On a side note, those writing that they're playing for teams, and having to buy their own tops, do your club teams not try to find a sponsor, to pay for the team clothing......??

This is golf not football...😀

The league team changes it shirt annually and these are provided by the club.

For all the other matches (mens/mixed/senior and vets league) it's a constant over the years and hardly a large overhead to people who (apparently) pay £££for their balls etc etc etc

Spare a small thought for the poor old captain who ends up with a very significant bill (including additional embroidery) but has his match gear for a few years ahead well sorted!

It was the league team I was referring to at our place, so provided free for team players at yours too.

May be different from area to area, club to club, but don't believe the captain foots the bill for any shirts/jumpers, for any teams, instead, local businesses, provide these, in return for a small logo/branding on garments, or in the case of our junior team, a generous patron stepped forward to pay this year.

I don't believe anybody representing a club in a league/team environment should be paying for their own tops.

My reference to the captain related to his need to purchase embroidered gear - not for the teams. And yes, even there there are vastly differing practices at clubs.

If there is no sponsorship then who pays for it?

I can't play in club matches due to the type of membership I currently have.
But I've got to be honest.
If I were selected to play for the club I would consider it an honour and wouldn't hesitate in forking out for a club sweater/tie whatever.

That sounds like very good value compared to what most have posted.

prob is for a Glenmuir wool sweater, main contention was the scratch team all got given one last year while the handicap team were asked to play, bit of a cheek that.

looks like some of you are paying a premium down there, i got a club Blazer a few years ago as i was asked on a club tour and had a few dinners to attend, that was only £50. I think that cost was just to cover the embroidery .
