Managed 11th,15th and 18th December but havn't touched a club since. Got a time booked for friday but if we're not under several inches of snow, the course will be bone hard so might not play anyway.

Once on dec 17th , it was a lovely morning until we got to the 17th and within 2 minutes the course was covered in snow and I havnt been back since :(

Between been away, back back and then snow, haven't been out since early Dec.

Was itching to play when injured but not so much since the snowing, freezing Artic winds have come :(

Just had the one round at Dave's (Vig)place on new years day which turned out to be a bright sunny but cold day, and very enjoyable. My course is like many covered in snow and will take some considerable time to clear once the temperature rise's. But that is the thing thats bugging me when are we going to see an end to this? have the forecasters said anything??

Last round was in the 1st week of December and last chance to play was middle of the month, pretty much closed since then.

Anyone else think clubs should offer some sort of rebate when it's like this? I'm getting on for a full month now where the course has been closed and I'm just wondering if it's entirely fair for clubs to take your money and not provide you with a playing surface (alright, they don't make the snow, but you get my point - it's not my fault I can't play at the moment and I've paid them the privilege of 12 months' playing membership).

Anyone play at a club that has this sort of eventuality covered? Mine's run by a Yorkshire farmer, so I'd have more chance getting money back from unemployed Scotsman!

I'm thinking three, so not too bad - but how long before the next one?
Best was last Sat, Jan 2 - frosty but 'real' greens - not exactly perfect but wonderful sunshine and no squelchy mud like before Xmas so felt pretty damned good.
Holding on to that thought ..

I've played one round in the last four weeks! I was playing really well as well, then bam... along came the snow.

Just as well i've got skiing to fall back onto and i'd quite happily swap a few rounds of golf for consistent skiing on the best snow Scotland has had at this time of year for over 20 years!

Me, i'm loving it.

Do miss my golf though. It'll be interesting to see what swing flaws have crept back in on the return of golf in a few weeks. This weather ain't going anywhere soon!

My last round was on the 12th December. Winter mats , but normal greens. Looks like it will be quite a while before I get out again.

What next? Ask them if you can pay some more money if we get a wonderful Spring,Summer and Autumn that enables you to play more?! :)

Played New years Eve (last round of 09) & New years day (1st round of 2010)
Don't know when 2nd round of 2010 will be though.
At this rate it will be Castle Stuart :(

We have had another 6/8 inches in last 24 hrs and with more forecast and cold temps forecast I reckon it could well be late January before I next get out.....mind you the course will be top notch, not a divot in sight if it aint been hacked up for a month! :)

0. 2 foot of snow since 19th Dec. Not looking getting a game anytime soon.

Sunny Inverness, hope its gone for the Castle Stuart meet?

Trying to DEPRESS me , last game played on the 16th December, which was in the snow, now had a game booked over the festivitiesm but course closed, now was up for game on Sunday, now a foot of snow has arrived and more to come....Cheers ;)

hey, dodger, keep quiet, there are bound to be some sharp operators thinking of that to make up their deficit from lack of pay & play traffic this winter ;)

I see you've got the R7 Limited Viscount17.
How are you finding it, long, straight and forgiving?

Hope you don't mind me asking - just curious.

Golfmmad.

Golfmmad, its very, very new - as in yesterday.
apart from trying it on the range and a driving lesson using the club before I bought it (I told them if the lesson worked then I'd buy the club), I've had no opportunity to enjoy it as yet.

a revamped swing to ingrain but when I get it right it feels great and the ball seems to go forever.
