How many new courses have you played this year?

Managed to play a few new ones this year.
Rosapena, tom morris old course, royal portrush dunluce course, so 2 fantastic links courses. Also played a wee 9 holer called ardminnan in ulster cup which is not the best to be honest. But all were freebies so can't complain really.

Apart from my "usual " courses of Aylesbury Park & Wycombe Heights, I have played the following courses for the first time

Hanbury Manor (GM 100 event)
Beaconsfield
Sand Martins (Wokingham)
Lambourne (nr Maidenhead)
Temple (nr Marlow)

and playing the Rothschild Course at Mentmore (Nr Tring) on Wednesday with Imurg and CVG

Nice courses, shame about the handicap

Clovelly Trails - The Osprey

BallyHally;
Terranova;
Glendenining;
Pippy Park - Admirals Green;

Did OK this Summer, still got a 2 fore 1 to use up so hoping to add 1 more to the list !!!

Elea GC - Cyprus
Beacon Park near Wigan with FFTD
Whitewebbs GC - London
Portmadog - North Wales
Pwllheli - North Wales
Mere GC - Cheshire
Turnberry Ailsa
Turnberry - Kintyre

Been lucky to go on a crazy amount of golf trips this year and have been playing lots of new courses around London aswell so have managed to rack up the tally:

Capital City Club - Crabapple, Atlanta
Atlanta Athletic Club, Atlanta
The New Course, St. Andrews
The Jubilee, St. Andrews
Belle Mare Plage Links, Mauritius
Le Touserrok, Mauritius
Anahita, Mauritius
Bandon Dunes, Oregon
Pacific Dunes, Oregon
Bandon Trails, Oregon
Old Macdonald, Oregon
Oceanico Pinhal, Portugal
Oceanico Victoria, Portugal

The Grove
The Buckinghamshire
Blackmoor
West Essex
Leighton Buzzard
Dunstable Downs
Woldingham
Swinley Forest
The Berkshire

The Bandon Dunes courses were the best by a mile. I really would struggle to believe that there is a better collection of courses anywhere in the world...

Atlanta Athletic was the toughest. Absolutely brutal but did manage to finish the final 3 holes (The playoff holes in the USPGA) in +1 which was the only real highlight in my 14 over par 86...

Biggest let down were probably the Mauritius courses (though I reckon Le Tousseok has the potential to be world class) and the biggest surprise package was Blackmoor which I totally fell in love with (thanks again richart) -which is especially surprising considering I usually only like courses I play well on!! ;)

West Malling - Spitfire
West Malling - Hurricane
Edzell
Scotscraig
Crail
Downfield
Panmuir
Murrayshall - Lynedoch (damn silly course)
Dunkerque (France)
Oostburg (Holland)
Damme (Belgium)

Not as many as usual, since on "the Scottish trip" this year we re-visited a couple of old haunts, and have started buying day tickets rather than doing two different courses in one day. Now up to 160 courses played - and for someone living in London seems a bit bizarre that the large majority are in Scotland.

Well since only starting this year I suppose nearly every course is new bar my home one.

Anyway here's my list:
Conrawood
Royal Portrush: Valley Links Rathmore
Castlerock
Narin & Portnoo
Ballyboofy and Stranrolar
Farnham Estate
Slieve Russell
Bundoran
Stranbane
Murvagh
Newtown Stewart

Looking forward to next year and I believe Portstewart and Dungannon are on the cards.

Just looked at my calendar and am amazed at how many new courses I have played this year.

New courses for me this year:

The Dorset Country Club - not bad but judgement clouded by playing 9 holes in 5 under!
Brockenhurst Manor - very nice
Broadstone - excellent
Parkstone - nearly as good
Blackmoor - superb
Woodhall Spa - excellent but slightly overrated
Bearwood Lakes - best new course I have played by a long way (Thanks Paul!) Still remember my putt on the last!
Willingdon - can't remember so can't be very good
Penha Longha, Cascais. Absolutely lovely
Oitavos Dunes, #1 ranked course in portugal and I thought it was poor
Quinta de Marinha - lovely course
The Grove - better than I expected
Toulouse Seilh - pretty good track

Not bad for someone who keeps saying he rarely plays golf! What utter rubbish that is..... :D
