End of year Review - Courses you have played this year ?

Yep.

Dave played golf. We kept him company.

Doubt he'll be coming back next year without assurances about who he's playing with
I'll be back, make sure the 3 are happy to carry me again.

Didnt get out much....

Toughest Hindhead

Best Greens - Hindhead

Overall Condition - Hindhead

Most Enjoyable - Hindhead

Overall Best - Hindhead

Notable Mention - West Surrey and Meon Valley. Only other courses played this year!

Toughest - Royal Dornoch just outstanding.

Best greens - Dunaverty in July & August were tremendous.

Overall condition - Machrihanish Dunes. Come on leaps and bounds.

Most enjoyable - Tain & Dunaverty are just great fun.

Overall best - Royal Dornoch

Notable mention - Dundonald is class and Troon Portland.

Toughest - Murcar, never ending 400odd into wind isn't fun

Best Greens - not being a good putter, it's not something I look for

Overall Condition - S&A always presents itself lovely

Most Enjoyable - Houghwood, I loved it there. Even threatened to join it for a while

Best - Trump Aberdeen by a mile

Notable Mention - Bootle, it's a cracking little muni

Overated - Said it before, say it again. Carnoustie. Just didn't get it

Toughest - Bull Bay, some narrow fairways, blind shots, raised greens, lots of trouble, and it was blowing a strong one.

Best Greens - The only time I remember green quality is if they're bad so no comment.

Overall Condition - The Berkshire

Most Enjoyable - Swinley Forest, one glorious hole after another and a treat on the eye.

Best - Swinley Forest

Notable Mention - Angelsey, rough round the edges but a golf course how I imagine they used to be, great fun.

Not played that many this year, but...

Toughest: West Lancs. Always struggle there

Best Greens -Beau Desert.... crazy hard and crazy quick

Overall Condition - Delemere / St Ann's Old Links

Most Enjoyable - Formby, Just my favourite....

Overall Best - Bearwood - Just a great set up, course, food, practice facilities....

Notable Mention - Deer's prancing across the tee at Camberley Heath whilst waiting to tee off was a bit special

Played quite a few top courses this year including 4 Open rota ones. Great courses on the forum Aberdeen trip.

Toughest Royal Lytham Keep your ball out of the bunkers and it's straightforward but there are 190 of them.

Best greens Probably Ferndown when I played county champs there.

Overall condition Fancourt Links, there wasn't a blade of grass out of place.

Most enjoyable Despite the weather, I thoroughly enjoyed my game at Murcar with Merv79, Scouser and DaveMc0.1

Best Choice between Lytham and Fancourt I think. Leaning towards Lytham as I shot 4 over off the back tees :D

Notable mention Bognor Regis, just a humble little members club but always good fun to play.

I didn't realise golf had become so inclusive. Smaller steps up onto the teeing areas and lower bar heights - fantastic to hear.

The course overlooks Butlins, guess that means even chavs can play the game!

#notinmyday

Didn't play too many courses this year so ...

Toughest: St Mellion Nicklaus. Was just brutal. A fraction off the fairway and you're dead

Best Greens - None spring to mind so I'll say my place - they are always good

Overall Condition - St Enodoc (Would have been Royal St George's but half the bunkers were not in play

Most Enjoyable - Royal St George's (despite the company... :):) )

Overall Best - Royal St George's

Notable Mention - Thumeries-Montchaux in France. Got my first ever eagle there - 5 points after one hole. Normally takes half a dozen to get that many)
