How many new courses have you played this year?

Irvine Bogside
Dundonald
Fairmont-Torrance course
Old Ranfurly
Prestwick St Nicholas
Millport

Highlights being discovering Bogside and joining as a temporary member and Dundonald, which was truly stunning for £40.00. The other highlight being the moving to Ayrshire thing- truly golfing Mecca. Spoilt for choice all withing 30 mins drive from my house. Plan to get round a few more next year- Turnberry being the main target

There is a theme building here.

Camberley Heath (played well and finished 2nd in TXL's mini meet)
Blackmoor (played very well PM - we'll forget AM in Smiffy's company)
St Pierre (played solid and qualified)
Forest of Arden (enough said)
Caversham Heath (got duffed up in the match but drove as well as I have all year)

The only exception to the trend was The Grove but I'd like to think I was building up for a strong back nine

I said it was a varied list!! Carus Green is a nice little course! OK value at £13 and they seem to have a fantastic new clubhouse opening soon.................................but Royal was a bit better.

We holiday in The Lakes twice a year and have to say Carus Green improves every time we play. We tend to get a day ticket and play 36 holes with lunch in between and by the end of the week a nice flat, parkland course is very tempting !
