Mmm, don’t know. My first eagle was 1976, the ball finished pin high 2 inches right. A gimme eagle but it was tapped in. Never had an albatross. Had a few blank years, probably, but the last few years - post retirement - were very good for eagles, inc. 2 in one round twice. Only ever had 1 hole-in-one, and that took 42 years before it arrived.

50+ years golf, single figure h’cap since ‘76. Even if it’s only one a year = 50+.

One. Was a 26hcp at the time and had two shots on the hole. Wasn't very popular with my playing partners that day.

We don't really have any drivable par 4s...the shortest is about 290 but it's uphill and around a corner with an adverse camber
You have to hit a massively high driver over trees and bushes and rely on a 1 in a million bounce to get there...
3 of the Par 5s are reachable in 2 with 2 good hits and a bit of luck as the slopes aren't always in your favour.
It's mainly chip/pitch ins and HiOs .

1st was in May 1980 on the par 5 - 6th hole at Lullingstone Golf Course
152nd was last November, a hole in one on the 11th hole at Darenth Valley, a Par 3 with a driver

Fairway was firm , wind behind and prob run a good 50 yards

I've only ever had one "proper" eagle: drove the green on a short par 4 (about 260) and holed the putt.

Apart from that, all my eagles have been lucky hole-outs with the second shot on par 4s, plus a chip-in on a par 5.
(At Grims Dyke, as it happens: 2nd, 9th, 13th, 18th).

(Oh, and I did join the hole-in-one club last year - always forget that's an eagle).

I think it is 8 for me but there could be a couple in the dim and distant past that moves me up to the next option poll wise.

I do know I eagled our 17th 2 rounds in succession.

Funniest one came at our par 5 7th....one of our group has hit his 2nd shot into a greenside bunker, I'm about 150yds out having played two and the third bloke in our group is maybe 100yds out having played 3. First bloke has gone into the bushes to scare some snakes. Whilst he is waving his willy at serpents, I hole out for Eagle the other bloke holes out for birdie!!!

First bloke gets to his ball in the bunker, thin's it across the green into another bunker, splashes out and goes to mark. Looks around for our markers, assuming we have marked our balls, cant see them and asks where we are. I walk to the hole and fish my ball out, then the other guys walks to the hole and fishes his ball out. First bloke looks at us in utter disgust!!!

Probably I would be unable to work it in total I ticked the 21-50 box but I know my lifetime eclectic on this course

I have had a 1 on 3 of the par 3s
3 on all 3 par 5s
a 2 on 9 of the par 4s

just the 3 holes without an eagle but they are stroke index 1 and 2 par 4s and one of the par 3s.

Not sure how many eagles, many over the years. Two big birds though, 1st hole at Pitreavie and 17th hole at Duddingston.

Not really any idea. I’ve had about 20 at my own course over 30 odd years and a few at other places.

Can I be a bit indulgent and mention my nearly eagle on the 17th hole on the West Course, Wentworth. One the best drives and then 3 wood that I have ever had the pleasure to hit - shaved the eagle putt.
