I try to play in every qualifier that I can. I like the added pressure of it meaning something such that you have to concentrate for the whole 18; hence I also prefer medals rather than stablefords as every shot counts.

I try and play in as many as possible, in fact, I actually struglle to really care about my golf unless its got something riding on it.
It really annoys me when people play at the weekend (with a competition readily available to enter) and dont enter the qualifier even though they still play off the whites in competition conditions.
Your handicap should be a reflection of your abilities, not entering the available competition IMO is borderline cheating as you are protecting your handicap.
Some people do play too much golf though.
I've even heard of someone taking a SW and a bag of balls away on a weekend caravan trip.

I play every one that I can and enter as many opens and other comps as possible to get some more in.
Played monthly medal on Saturday, have two qualifying rounds tomorrow and another comp on Sunday..... that's a lot of +0.1s the way I'm playing!
