Under what circumstances would your Club disallow a members a 2 ?? They've scored a 2 BUT........

1. Card is returned but not signed by either Player or Marker, so DQ

2. Player N/Rs but his marker fails to continue recording his score... card signed & returned.

3. Player walks off, for what ever reason, but card is signed & returned.

4. Player discontinues round due to injury etc. Signs & returns card but is removed from Comp. Will they get there 2??

At my old club back in the UK the Two’s comp was classified as a separate comp. Therefore you get a 2, you get a ball, does not matter if you n/r’ed or not. Think only stipulation maybe card need to be signed, but not sure you even needed that if I’m honest.

We pay out as long as the card is signed, returned and the holes have played in the correct order.
It is after all part of the competition.

Same for us but apparently for the opposite reason!

All done in the same way as any other prize from the competition as much because that's how the computer does it as anything else now.

But what about an ace? The guy who runs our society says it isn’t a 2 so no payout- not that it has ever been an issue🤪

No 2 if you’re DQ’d from comp, regardless of reason for DQ.
HiO gets half the pot

Ours is pretty straightforward.

2 gets paid out for anything except a DQ. The cards also must be signed.

I believe a hole in one either gets 50% of the pot or £50. I am not 100% sure which as they don't happen very often

You only time you don’t get a 2 is if you don’t hand your card in - DQ , NR still pay out.

Get 2, you win, simple.

Get a HiO, you take the pot. Also simple.

I don't think we need to complicate matters further with some of the rules above.

NR relates to medal play only and 2 must be made prior to failing to register a score and entering the NR. If you fail to score on a hole in a stableford event but still record a 2 you get paid
Isn’t that because a No Return (NR) in Medal play is a DQ? So you still pay out for a DQ if the 2 is before the NR.
Apology for question just confused by you saying you don’t pay out for a DQ.
Thanks for Stab clarification.

We (the club) look at it as 2 situations. You can NR and still be paid but if you get a DQ (failure to sign a card, didn't enter on PSI etc) any 2 is null and void. Seems overly pedantic but thats how they choose to run it. Doesn't affect me as a 2 is a rarity on my card. More chance some days of a 1 in front of it

I don't think you can DQ for this.
