How are your clubs greens recovering?

Ours are pretty good at the moment. They don't look fantastic but they are quick and true and so you can pick your spot and trust it. I guess that's all you can really ask of a green. I'd like them to look more uniformed (some have more grass than others) but the pace is quick for ours and so its fun and a challenge. I was at Sand martins today and their greens were bad. Very wooly and didn't look like they'd been cut for a few days and very bobbly so it was hard to make anything outside about two feet. It was a shame as the rest of the course was immaculately presented

The greens are unbelievable fast for this time of year god know how fast they will be in the summer, fairplay to the green keeping staff.

Our greens have come on alot since Opening Day 2 weeks ago. Long may the decent weather continue. It is amazing what effect 7 dry days can have on a place.

Hope stevek1969 doesn't come on cos Scotscraigs are awesome, simply awesome. They were fast and true even in March.

Anyway Ranfurly Castle greens are dire, bumpy crap, they are drying out but all that's doing is making them even more bumpy. I hit a putt last week which bounced up to knee height!

Wont be a member there next year!

Ours are pretty good at the moment. just been top dressed and the greeno has got a couple of new toys for this year.
A vibrating roller and hand mower.
He was telling me that he has had constant moans about the speed of the greens so said if they want fast greens they're gonna get fast greens.
Bring it on!

On the whole good, some better than others but they are running fast and they look better for a cut. some are still showing bald patches although these are small and easily healed due to frost burn. Looking good for summer though and like all courses they should come good after they have been hollow tined.

Our greens have a bit of disease in them, been tined, and greenstaff were dressing them yesterday (thursday)then had sprinkers on to wash the dressing in.bit of decent warm weather, bit of growth, should be good.... :) :)

Our greens are shocking :) in all honesty they are really good there faster now than what they were last summer ,here's hoping they stay like that.

Hollow tyned about 7-8 weeks ago; played 4 weeks ago and still bumpy as but played on Sunday and much better; looking really nice. Pity my putting can't match them now. :-(

Good coverage, but a bit slow.

Medal tomorrow so I hope they get the mowers out first thing and move the flags. It's about time the course became playable at last.

there using a `turf iron ` on our greens at st.andrews and they are great for the first 2/3 hours ..then the grass pops it head up and there bouncin all over the place ...really p-ss-n us all off- especially as the matchplay ties are all underway now - and if u play a tie at nite the greens are shockin !!just cut the buckin greens please ...

Poor, very poor, little grass on them and really bumpy.Despite all the rain they look like they need rain..and heat. They are always like this early season,I would like to see us have woolier slower greens throughout the winter and see if keeping more grass on them would make a difference to the conditioning early season as they are always rank till the end of May IMO.

Not bad - they had a bit of disease over the winter but are recovering and getting quick!!
Not as true as they could be but they are all closed this week for maintainence so should be getting better all the time. Fortunately its coincided with my sore ribs (Easter Sunday trip!) so I'm not missing much golf.
ours the same(just over the forth) rolling ok, but REALLY need some growth! theres been a few putts stayed out, shall we say"!

Ours looked hellish and some are very bad but they look better now as someone said they have been painted :D
