The answer is.... Dunnow really.

At one stage last year I was playing off 15.4 and had been hovering between 14 and 15 for a few years.

As a result of a lot of concentrated practice for a club matchplay final, I had two good club competition games and ended up playing off 13.0. I would like to think that if I REALLY concentrated on my practice I could do the same again but with the mid 60's approaching is a 10 or 11 h/cap realistic now?

Currently off 11.7, and if I can get down to 11.4 over the season, I will be quite happy. Obviously, I need to stay there too. No good getting a 0.3 cut, and then putting in 10 +0.1's.

Anything above 12.0 is not good. Too close to going up to the dreaded 13, and dropping out of division 1.

Currently off 21, which was my first handicap given at the end of the summer when I finally bothered to get my 3 cards in after 6 months of club membership.

I have not played to this in about the last 3 months and am now averaging around 13 over par although this is with the winter course. I am probably at about 15 handicap standard currently so would like to be off of 13 at the end of the year.

I am confident I will win a competition off of my bandit handicap quite early on (I will hopefully now be entering the wednesday afternoon medal/ stapleford every 2 weeks or so provided I can organise myself around getting partners) and can't wait for a hefty cut! I really have no intention of keeping an unfair handicap and would like as much as anyone to be as low as possible so hopefully I can get out on the course more and get this sorted.

I'm with Twiregolf on this one.Cut out all the duffs and mis-hits and off I go!(if only it was so easy??!!)
Have been practising lots at the range but that is no substitute for time on the course..I know,I know!!!
It can be done, hence the Eclectic trophy win last year!
So lets gets the sensible head on this year, keep the focus(and the temper!)and, most of all....ENJOY!!!
I wish you all a guid new year both in golf and in your lifes!! :D

Started last season at 4.6 ended the season at 4.9!!!

I would like to get down to four again this year but it seems to be bloody difficult these days. The Sabertooth will be the answer I can tell!

Four would see me a happy happy man!
