Guess the experiment?

I really have no idea what you lot are on about :D

and we're not at work!

murph, if you're coming from Watford way going via Clacket Lane services and the A21/A26 via Tunbridge Wells isn't going to add a lot. (no use trying Sainsbury's - the restaurant doesn't open til 8)

Coming from Watford, I could go clockwise or ccw from home round the M25, as it is only about one mile different. not decided which way yet, but I suppose if one way goes past Clacket Lane services, then that has to be the favourite.

tee-times at 9.12, 9.30 and 10.00

could this be a test of who really causes slow play? mid h/c first to set a standard time, high handicappers next, then low h/c's to chase?

and I would guess 4-balls

I think they will mix the 3s up into 3 groups of high + mid + low. I can't see that you would put the highs out first.

Anyway, often lower h/caps play slower, so it could be dark before we got in.

I think we shuld play flag golf, where you either play with one ball and see how far round you get, or you play round and stop where you have used your h/cap. Some might not finish the 1st!

Viscount,
Just spotted your post and would just say that when you come off the A21, Southborough and then Tunbridge Wells can be a bit grim at that time of day (I lived in Tun Wells for best part of 35 years!)
Without getting too bogged down with precise directions, I would recommend staying on the A21 a little longer and then turning right onto the A264 towards Tun Wells at a place called Pembury. This will bring you into the far end of Tunbridge Wells hopefully skirting the worst of the traffic and you can then pick up the A26 to Crowborough again at the bottom end of town.
Hope this is of some help without confusing things too much,
Best wishes
Jezz

Steve,

We could always grab something from somerfield across from my house before we leave. Its a 24hr garage with a coffee machine etc... that would give us plenty of time to hit the practise area.

It really doesn't bother me either way. They also sell a fry up in a tin, if i put that under your bonet it should be ready to eat when we arrive.

I think they are going to kidnap you all then perform evil experiments on you, take all the good parts of your game out build a frankingolfer and unleash him on tour.

This golfing machine will win everything for the next 50 years and make the GM team billionaires!

But at least your grandkids will be able to say you played a part!

Apart from Sammmeebee, there might not be enough to build any sort of a golfer - even a bad one, and leftie is no good, for obvious reasons.

I think that that experiment is doomed from the start. Use of electricity is a distinct possibility though.

2000V Cattle prod for missed putts, fairways, GIR, etc. Carrot and stick stuff. One lot get a stripper, taking kit off for birdies, the other gets the prod.

Viscount,
Probably a better choice. East Grinstead shouldn't (note use of word 'shouldn't') be too bad heading south at that time of day. Might be a little slow through Felbridge but not as bad as Southborough/Tunbridge Wells,

I bet the GM boys have been watching the board all day pishing themselves at you lot trying to work out what the experiment is.

Enjoy the day guys.

My tuppence worth with the tee times spread as they are I think it may be mode of transport walk/trolley vs powered trolley vs buggy
