green fee's

Some courses and reasonable and some are very expensive..but what other game is there where we can go and play where the Big Boys go...

Best way to play the top courses for great prices is get your handicap down below 5 and enter the open competitions.

Much cheaper, food often included and the chance of winning serious prizes. Perfect.

Leeds is way overpriced for membership. you are looking at £800 for an average course and about £1200 for a good course.

Most I have paid for a round is £95 at Carnoustie. Well worth it

Sounds like a good idea to me, lets see, I've gone from 28 to 23 in 3 years so down to 5 should take about another 11 years which will make me too old. Damm.

My club has come into the 21st century. I think there must have been some kind of coup overnight that I slept through. Joining fees abolished. Great thinking and very saleable. No green fees for members guests on Boxing Day so we can sign guests in for nada. Only downside the clubhouse is shutting at 3.00 and no food on

just joined there for next year, the removal of the joining fee helps!

This year to end March 2012, we payed £3,007!! QUOTE]

Jesus wept!!

I pay £630 a year and think that's about reasonable for where I play.

Would have to be somewhere spectacular to think about shelling nigh on £300 a month to play my golf before I've bought a drink!
