Inspired by the chipper thread, what items are not seen in the bags of good golfers?

I propose that the following have no place in the bag of a good golfer:

- Iron head covers
- Telescopic devices to get the ball out of water. The good golfer does not plan for such occasions, which should be rare anyway.
- Chippers, of course
- Special soled sand wedges "guaranteed to get the ball out"
- Ping stuff*
- Plastic built up tees

From my performances this year the telescopic ball retriever would have paid for itself in the first round...................

Fortunately my chipping and bunker shots have been good, got plenty practice anyway........

Was thinking about getting myself a ball retriever, I have no shame picking up everyone else's ProV's from the water :(

Can't decide whether to get one with a 2-thumb grip on it or standard:)

(and I use pink castle tees) :o

My name is Steve i use Pink Castle tee's in the winter,i need help :D,there the only things that go in the ground bar a Hilti Drill :D

I disagree about iron covers. I've only used them since getting my TP's and there isn't any marks on them other than where I've hit the ball and the odd nick on the soil from a brit of gravel, stone etc. I'm sure if I'd invested in some S56 or the new forged Mizuno's I'd want to be keeping them as pristine as possible and not getting marked jiggling about in the bag.

Sorry but white trousers have to go into room 101 too. Can't say I've ever met a decent golfer that wears white trousers, just a bunch of wannabees.

And wooly hats... they are for school kids!

He's going to spit he's dummy right out james!

For me the biggest pet hates are:

Fury animal head covers - if you want a teddy bear go to the bear factory

Any accessory that is in football team colours - both sports are unique and not to be mixed
