Following approval from MikeH, we can have a thread which lists sites that folks should be using caution with.

So if you know any sites that we should all be wary of then post on this thread and it can get tidied up every now and again.

Amended now to include sites where they went above and beyond with service or just trustworthy places.

Another big plug for Golfbase. Ordered 4 Under Armour shirts at a great price, and had them next day. Recommended.

hi all
a quick note to ask that if you are posting negative feedback on shops/retailers that you keep your comments factual and do not stray into name calling, making threats etc
thanks

I can recommend expressgolf.co.uk
Ordered Footjoy boots two days ago and they arrived today. Checked by telephone they were in stock and ordered on line at £49.99 + delivery of £3.99 for highlands of Scotland that's not bad.

Was in Snainton last week. Don't think you'll have any problem. Try emailing them as well. Could be a phone line problem as they are out in the sticks a bit.

Does anybody have any knowledge of Dunluce Golf in NI? They have a website with online sales through an eBay account. Prices look good (potentially too good?) and all looks to be genuine with full address and telephone contact details.

My mate ordered some MD stuff from them via ebay a few months ago. There was no issue with the clubs when they arrived, he even emailed them as after a few days they were not with him , they emailed straight back and informed him why , they arrived a few days after that. I have also had things in the past from them and had no issues.

Re: Good & Bad sites/shops - a review.

A big Thumbs up for Gator-Golf.
Needed a couple of wheel covers for my trolley - found them via Ebay.
Went through with the sale - no issues.
Got an e-mail next day - they humbly apologised.
They'd sold out, couldn't get any more for a while and had forgotten to take the listing off Ebay.
Very apologetic - and offered to send me a dozen balls as compensation along with the refund.
OK they're Lake Balls - that's their main line - but they're Zstars and look to be 1 hit wonders.
All in all, I'm happy. A dozen Zstars to get me through the Winter at the cost of zilch!
Result.

Bought a couple of times, no probs at all.

If you email them direct with what you want (rather than go through ebay) they will do it cheaper.

Online Ebay shop "Golf with Jeff andf Ellie" great prices and free next day delivery - can't argue at that.
Bought a Cobra ZL Encore driver from them at less than the RRP at 1430 on a Tuesday and received it Weds afternoon - definite thumbs up.
